You are realize Cover is a company, and a company's main purpose is making fucking money, and their main business IS managing these girls right?
They were a tech company before but now that is just an accessory to this.

Hear me out for a second. I was never a fan of Amelia, I mean, I kind of liked her(?) and would watch her streams from time to time. I liked her creativity, but there was never really a reason for me to come watch her streams from the beginning to end, every time.
But I kind of emphathize with her. It must have been suffocating watching all these talented people around me, having no problem socializing and what not, when she's clearly an introvert. It also hurts that she's very competitive in her nature, seeing how she genuinely rages in online games. Watching her perform End of a Life now that her soft graduation is announced, really made me tear up. I can see why it seems like she has an attachment to that song, it kind of encapsulates her situation. I just wish she didn't quit. Maybe she'll one day return once she's worked on herself. Until then, I guess it's see you later for now.

Here is my "safest summary" based on announcements and interpretations.

She's graduating as a talent and resigning her status to "affiliate" meaning she won't do main forms of content anymore such as social media, videos, or streaming, but has the "corporate door" open for participation in various "projects" whatever the hell that may be. It's likely a compromise from either side, whether Ame just didn't want to leave that badly or Cover really didn't want her to go but clearly couldn't make ends meet in the contract. For coping’s sake, I'm not blowing my punches in admitting "Ame" as we've known her will in a way cease to exist. Prescripted/pre-recorded cameos or whatever crumbs we may get simply won't come close but it's better than nothing of course

Still really vague despite two Ame streams and Cover releasing a statement, so that's always promising. From what the others in Myth seem to understand is she's gone and will not be streaming anymore, but she may be featured in something special every so often. Ina compared it to mahou shoujo anime having old cast come back for a special episode. on one hand, I got into ame's streams around the time of her superliminal playthrough partially as relief after spending my day caring for a dying family member (didn't know she had gone through the same at the time) and my life fell apart soon afterward, so realizing another part of that past life is suddenly over is very difficult. on the other, as obnoxious as it feels to say, I still think the worst timeline is one where I didn't have something comforting to come home to in the first place.

I have yet to see it happen. And seeing ame goodbye hurts like hell enough. I'm not willing to get my hopes up over a pipedream. There's nothing I can do now but mourn and cry that she's leaving. And if again, IF she ever does decide to come back... then and only then will I accept it. And that's going to be a long time from the looks of it.

No matter how I look at it this seems incredibly dumb. I really hope she doesn't actually think like this. even putting aside Cover somehow agreeing to a deal like that a lot of good will be lost and people would have change
I can't help but feel how there is still a major dissonance between her uncertain attitude and how literally everyone else, whole fandom, her genmates, branchmates, JPs even Cover's announceeme towards all of this, just how many times has she used maybe, probably in the stream.
I can't help but feel that this decision was bolstered by her thinking "welp I could just come back if all goes to shit" kind of mentality. I am not at all convinced by her when she said how she didn't take making this decision lightly.

The decision to leave didn't sound so uplifting to me, it just feels like she met an obstacle she couldn't overcome despite wanting to and eventually decided to throw in the towel.

You're right about Ame not wanting us to despair though it's hard not to. I know I was for most of the day but I felt a lightness in my chest while brushing my teeth and started feeling happy about all the moments I experienced with Ame. I'll have to remember this feeling of peace because I know these next ten days will be a rollercoaster of emotions for me. We'll all make it. Now I sleep, stay strong until the end teamates.
