For some reason being entertaining and creating a good atmosphere (remember her parade float stream?) don't count as talents to people. Nevermind that she is also the IT girl in Hololive EN that everyone turns to when something is going wrong, or that she seems to be the real glue that holds the group together despite Kiara really wanting that position so badly. I also find it weird that Gura is almost never given a hard time about her talents in her carefree streams, people actually just seem to pity her instead like she is suffering from depression and can't handle the fame.

Well Gura actually has two "talents" in singing (good mixed voice and pitch control) and rhythm games (can FC extreme difficulties). Ame's only "talent" is keeping up good/entertaining vibes, but Gura and Calli (ironically considering how awkward she can be) share that with her so she's definitely the least remarkable on paper of the EN girls.

she knows how to interact with her fans. Mori was pretty much adversarial towards /hlgg/ at one point and Risu is chill enough to not care about anything. Ame, on the other hand, led her legion of goslings on a wild easter egg hunt, ie her coupons (which she probably gave upon already. Cahm on Watsssen, do a coupon review already). Her non-gaming strimms are pretty varied and of high quality too. She definitely knows how to entertain and that's a pretty great talent by itself

I think sometimes people buy too much into the idol gimmick of Hololive. Yes, a handful of girls are talented enough to be idols, but a girl being a good vtuber is really enough and all it takes to succeed in the company. It sure works for people like Coco, who is also actively embarrassed about her voice like Ame and does silly improv moves while dancing.

She sucks, there's no way around it, but it's honestly very charming. Like going to actual karaoke with your friend and you both suck and you know it but you're giggling and having fun the whole time.

she is a genuinely entertaining streamer outside of vtuber bullshit. she's funny and got good stories, knows how to interact with chat, and when to play off the dumb anime bullshit without it being too much (ex. mori and kiara). plus she got a great avatar and her 'anime voice' isn't too abnormal to be hard to listen to, but different enough to be cute. probably my favorite vtuber, her movie streams are especially great (especially the recent pokemon one). She knows how to put effort into her streams without making it some big thing, keeping it comfy. Honestly, the fact that she turned a medical condition where she constantly burps into hiccups (that immediately got embraced by the community) is amazing salesmanship. she shows off the community she made (art, bubba ASS, fan game) and genuinely seems proud of it while acknowledging and joking about the gross parts. comfy shitposter, feels like one of the boys.

my only fault with her is while her streams with Gura are fantastic, she seems uncomfortable/shy with other streamers. Hopefully its one of those things where she's shy at first, then opens up when she gets to know people. Holo EN's expansion may help w this.

She somehow maintains a comfy smalltime streamer vibe while regularly streaming for 8-15k people (25k+ with Minecraft). Also shes really active with members and has some fun members streams, well worth the 5 bucks a month.

Based on pure numbers Cover probably wasnt expecting much, but from what little shes talked about the process they were probably blown away with how prepared and serious she was about the interview. Cover gets credit for recognizing that talent in the interview, but Amelia probably blew them away in the interview and the rest is history
