Sanallites, I've convened this session of the Spacial Society to discuss the matter of Sana's subcount.
Yes, I know, we've had this discussion before, but the issue has only been getting worse and it's still suspiciously early after everyone's debuts for the sub counts to be this disparate.
Who are the likely culrpits?

I've heard this a lot, but I don't understand it at all. Sure, she's overdesigned, but so is everyone in EN2 but Mumei. If anything Kronii sticks out as looking weird for people unfamiliar with FGO designs. Besides, she has objectively the most erotic body in Hololive???

This is something that I've dreaded addressing, but could it be that Sana's accent turns people off? Of course, as a red-blooded American her accent is incredibly cute, but is it possible that to people living in Australia her accent is annoying? Look up "lightskin vs darkskin" for how lighter skinned non-whites are treated better because of societal colorism even within non-white societies due to exposure to American standards of beauty. The big, goofy balls on her twintails are ugly and clash with the elegant design of the lower part of her model (which is actually fine). Same with that spiral antenna thing.

I'm German, so ESL, and the first 20 mins of the debut was really hard to understand for me. It got better towards the end, and if I decide to keep watching her, I'll have no problems anymore eventually I bet.

I personally don't like how there was this whole theme given to each of the characters with seemingly no consideration for how they would play them. At least with Myth there is a sense that each talent created their own character. Maybe that's also true of Council, but I can only imagine that Cover is filtering hard in the audition process and that's almost as bad as forcing them into whatever preconceived notion they have for the generation. They really need to just pick the most talented girls and give them them support in expressing their own creativity instead of trying to shoehorn them.

I understand your perspective on this matter, and I do dearly hope to be proven wrong, but I suspect we'll need more time to see whose hypothesis gains more support as things play out. We only have one point of data for a similar situation as Sana's, and we'll probably need to revisit the numbers in a year or so. Flare does have the problem of also easily being the least interesting of all her genmates with no real gimmick other than "pretend lesbian" and "deep voice that attracts lesbians", but the fact she's well under a million subscribers while all 4 of her genmates are over a million is an interesting point to note.
