I'd have them rescue each of the guildmasters in 4 of the promise dungeons and then in whoever gets the final one you get the key macguffin to whatever imprisoned the king in the first place and continue that plot line.
You have a lot of wiggle room with the meat of the story sandwich. I'd use Chapter 2 to set up for Chapter 3 and 4 or however many they'll do. Can't have a good finale without a good setup. Let the dungeon steal the show and plan everything out now. That's what I'd do.
I mean, now as a storyteller you have an idea of how the girls are going to roleplay their characters. You can use those roleplays for the actual stories. Make little villagers gossip about Tam Gander. Talk about how they bought something new from Faunamart etc. Just don't set anything into stone.

It's actually really good because it was after playing around for a bit they committed to boss fights. Repelled the Stains (for now) and found out the king was trapped by something larger than him. That's the base synopsis.
There's a lot of places you can take the story but PERSONALLY I would focus on saving Libestal because all powerful characters get balanced pretty quickly when they need to protect small marshmallow people and while fighting the big bad is cool most people that play RPGs enjoy the post credits where you see everyone you met along the way happy and healthy. So their escape should culminate with leaving everyone in town happy too. Maybe they can even bring a happy king back?

the potato salad economy, while funny, is incredibly boring gameplay to watch. some of the repeatable quests shouldn't have been repeatable or that their quest rewards were dramatically reduced. it could've been a general cooking quest that cycles through different recipes with a low reward since it's repeatable.
i guess on the general system design, encourage player to player interaction instead of player to NPC interaction.
heavily reward trading items and goods with players instead of NPCs.
it could look like: one player wants to grind dungeons but other don't want to but they want to build and cook food. so add the construction boxes as uncommon loot in dungeons so that they can barter that with the builders in exchange for food they can use in the dungeon. idk, i'm not a game designer i'm just taking cues from actual primitive, small scale economies.

Redemption arcs are a thing. We've only seen these characters for a few days. If the creator cares/has enough experience they'll watch the streams and see how the entertainers reacted to each character and how they were interpreted and mix that with their own interpretation of the characters they made and give them individual story arcs.
Oh and revelation weapons need shorter cooldowns. You'd see a girl use their weapon and then sit around for 45 seconds with their thumb up their ass. It was really noticeable in the boss battles. By chapter 3 those weapons should be a flurry of death.
Imagine seeing the Amber Coin leader working with the Stains as a spy and ends up as a boss you have to fight but he narrowly escapes, leaving behind a book full of information on how to unlock a promise dungeon.
Imagine defending the Scarlet Wand leader as he is making a last stand with a barrier, leading to unlocking a different dungeon.
Jade Sword leader falls in battle and is brought to a hospital to recover, but through the pain he tells you what he's learned and how to unlock a dungeon.
Cerulean Cup would probably be rescued first to introduce the concept and be in an actual cage surrounded by Stains. Mainly just confirming the other captains are alive and need help.

It's 2024, you should understand by now that the Japanese people at Cover do not understand EN outside of their basic lore. And they're the ones putting together the outline for these things.

As for the including the Libestalian's into the plot more... I just think it's a bad idea. The guilds and everything were basically just NPC's to everyone and the most you'd ever see would be someone going "aww thats cute" at two guys sitting on a bench. Cecilia and Gigi were literally the only people who ever tried to actually do anything in regards to guild NPC's with their red text overlay, and if you add on the king it's basically just Ame and Nerissa AFAIK, though that's cheating a bit because all three of them just went "lol let's kill the king for funsies". The story should primarily be about the girls, which is a paradox because the girls can't create the story as we saw in the finale. Plot point A to Z will happen no matter what, and whatever steps they took to get there are basically just meaningless fluff.

The revelation weapons being so shit and buggy definitely needs to get fixed ASAP though, Gigi's especially literally does zero damage. Plenty of them need to be outright reworked too, and it's baffling to me that not a single one has a special effect.

The focus is always going to be on the girls, because we're seeing this world through their eyes. As far as design goes it's probably best to see the girls as the main character(s) in an RPG. They need to have a world to run around in and you figure if you used my example after they unlock the promise dungeon the rescued NPC is just a background NPC again.
I think to clarify I meant during a finale if the Stains launched an assault on the town the foundational NPCs should be immune to everything but they'd spawn generic townsfolk that can be targeted by the Stains and the girls would benefit (somehow) from saving them before attacking the boss. Like, the more marshmallows that are alive keeps the big bads shield down through the power of friendship.
If you watch ERB's stream during the Stain King fight it'd pretty much just be what she was doing already. No big deal/change.
Besides, if we flesh out Libestal that means they can use the city again in other settings. I think it'd be neat.

It's true that I agree with you on wanting to see the setting used again, that's less of me wanting to see more of the setting as it is and more about wanting to see Cover actually follow through by making an interesting multi-media project. And while I'm indifferent on Alternative as a concept, the concept of what it was has now been completely and utterly shafted to just being manga adaptations; nothing building a world. Just extras. Literally the only thing left are a manga which from what I understand had a semi-serious plot for a dozen chapters before dropping it, another one which hasn't gotten an update in a year, the PV's which have been missing for years, and Holoearth. Which is... Holoearth.

So yes, while I do want some more degree of care put into the world so that maybe it can expand beyond just being a Minecraft thing, I simply don't trust Cover to write an engaging story with EN's as the focus. Even within ENreco's concept we've seen their failure at that beyond the NPC's. The post-relevation PV's? As character-based as it gets, felt like I was back in 2021 which wasn't a good thing. The girls plotlines? All speedily closed on the finale. Their interaction and influence on the world? Well, they have as much influence on it as you did when you played FF4 and bombed Mist. We're not going to see any mention of Faunamart even in a passing line of dialogue, and to me that kind of undermines the entire point of the project; because at that point why not just make it a voice drama? As such, I can't bring myself to actually care about Libestal or its world.

First, change the setting for every chapter. Give everyone Wild West or make it 1930s noir, maybe switch to some samurai fantasy. Basically a drastic shift that makes older roles not viable. This will force everyone to adapt their RP and reinvent the characters.
Second, make the world more reactive with more flexibility for roleplay. Imagine if Biboo had the ability to actually spread corruption instead of doing petty vandalism in her allowed corner of the sandbox. Or if the NPCs at least called the players by their chosen name.
Third, make it easier for viewers to get into it. Get some in-house staff to clip the highlights and have someone from ID and/or JP narrate every day's happenings like a news host.

The structure wasn't used, was it? So it wasn't important. And the only people who didn't do every dungeon were Bae and Kronii, both of whom were absent for 5+ days for real life reasons. Doing the bare minimum everyone else did isn't a feat.
As for guild identity and unity, Faunamart did leagues more for (((Scarlet))) recognition than Gura. And both it and the library actually were important locations for other members' stories. Unlike the gallows.

OP here. enreco was so good for me that i started having withdrawals when it ends so i made this thread to see people's thoughts about it. i believe it's the best week of content holoEN has ever produced. thanks a lot for sharing your ideas and making this an active and bustling thread. it was a fun read.

personally, i think there should be a simple emote system (ie. sitting, laying down, rubbing hands together, crawling on all fours, club penguin dance, etc) that lets talents express themselves. the RPs are a bit stiff with default stance.
