The thing that surprises me that I want someone here that isn't an insane retard to explain to me, back late 2022/early 2023, there were a handful of EN collabs (Ame's Worms tourney comes to mind, and the Mori/Kronii/Magni/Vesper group) that did extremely well, and it seemed like the only people that had a problem with it were a vocal minority of unicorns. I understand Magni and Vesper were the most interested in doing stuff with the girls and them leaving was a huge factor in the distancing but why haven't we seen any of the newer Stars gens, or like Axel do anything else with the girls? Not wrong but male cover staff/freelancers they work with are unavoidable. Cover (according to talents) has rules about staff members not being able to have relationships with talents and most freelancers are doing stuff remotely.
The homo appendage on hololive on the other hand doesn't need to exist and contributes nothing of note whilst taking up studio time and resources. It attracts drama due to it's perceived closeness to the main branch regardless of how true that is, both from the people seething about bankrolling a bunch of malechuubas who might be trying to chat up their oshis behind the scenes and ALSO from the homobeggars who just can't accept that the branches are mostly separate and not one big unity holopro family. A lot people from those two groups probably coexisted and got along before they opened the pandoras box of EN males and now they are constantly at each others throats.

That is not even touching the 2 year gap in new girls where they fucked about releasing two gens of males, people will tell you one thing did not affect the other but we KNOW they shared staff in the early days and nothing else explains the glacial pace of getting advent out other than them trying to push out a male "EN3" and expecting the audience to accept it. EN was thriving before that decision and they are only just starting to build back up to what they lost.
