Will these two sites always be the go-to for VTubing? Both of them are pretty unfriendly to this sort of thing.

>> No.8315053

no they arent

>> No.8315058

Amazon and Google but the same kikes own both. The choice is an illusion.

twitch even added a vtuber category so you can find them more easily, how is it unfriendly to vtubing?

Cover needs to make its own video site. Theres no alternative. If you rely on other actors to not fuck up you inevitably will be. Being a series o outube vhannrl i not a stable business model.

I checked out a virtuareal chuuba and saw them showing a full episode of an American reality show on screen so I'm inclined to believe this but I'm not entirely sure.

Twitch is completely unsuitable for vtubers. Vods are ephemeral. No music videos, scripted videos or shitposts, only streams. This makes it an incomplete platform for vtubing.

Youtube chat feels lacking in both features and performance. The algorithm becomes the main tool for discovery and good luck figuring it out.

>> No.8315964

>>8315846
I've watched twitch streamers just sit there and watch Court TV bullshit on twitch, it's really not as bad as people think it is. Even DMCAs for music aren't as common as people seem to think

>Twitch is completely unsuitable for vtubers.
>Has 95+% of the successful western vtubers that aren't in a corporation

Clearly it's not as big of a problem as you think. The archives can go on Youtube, as can all the other content. I know this may seem like a foreign concept to you, but it's the way all streaming has been on the site, vtubers aren't some new exception. Look at any Twitch content creator and how they separate their content for different platforms in order to get maximum reach from it. They stream and then archive and put highlights on Youtube. VTuber viewers just seem new to enjoying live content and don't fully understand the way things have worked for years now.

NND uses ancient architecture and is being outcompeted by youtube even in Japan.
Dailymotion was killed by the French government because the French hate being successful.
BiliBili makes you beholden to glorious Führer Xi.

Which friendlier alternatives are you thinking of?
>>8315741
Ah, the Games Workshop Theory of Business: Hide your content behind a service that only people who are already fans will be aware of, reducing growth to literally zero.

Putting a grate over the rabbit hole xD may be OSHA compliant, but if your business model involves trapping people in parasocial relationships, disarming the traps is kinda counterproductive.

It's worse for Corpos, and even WORSE for JP Corpos.
It's like you all don't fucking remember how close Hololive came to just being 'gone'. It was only at Capcom's mercy that the entire group of Hololive channels wasn't immediately terminated and is the reason why Permissions autism is the way it is.

There's a small vtuber i follow that really thought about wether to move to twitch or stay on youtube, and while i think twitch is the better alternative for this chuuba's growth (Which she really needs) she pointed out how YouTube is big enough that not only it will forever hold relevance as long as it exist, but most of twitch features will slowly began to appear on youtube, and chances are that twitch won't be able to compete because they don't have that sweet Google money that keeps such an otherwise unviable platform alive.

If you live in a county with intellectual protection laws you can still get in trouble for doing that even if you do it from a site hosted in a 3rd party country. You have to actually live in China to get the full benefit of streaming on bilibili.

There are two kinds of streaming websites, the ones that are garbage and the ones no one uses

>> No.8322154

>>8319437
The thing that keeps Twitch alive isn't just the fact it has the streams or tools, it's also the culture. I know people here don't like parts of it, but there's streamers who literally won't leave for large deals just because they know they'll die without it. There's streamers with partnerships on other websites that still come to Twitch to stream and don't even get any major benefits from it besides the basic affiliate ones.

Also Amazon owns twitch, retard. stop sabotaging your chuuba

Those are good points, but by the time those things come into effect if they ever do she'll probably have graduated. Vtubers have a very short lifespan and need to think in the short-term.
