The sporadic videos was fine when vtubers werent pumping out constant content, but now she just doesn't do enough.

Even compare her to HIMEHINA who still primarily do short videos, they release multiple videos a week and are constantly pumping out new top tier songs.

They decided to have three Ai-chan to do more with her. One to game one to do channel stuff and the main doing events and ad stuff. Then the OG had a small falling out with the company for a few months before the backlash made them realize she was what made the character. They gave the other two Ai-chans personalities of their own hoping it would fix it but it was to late, people thought the OG was gone and didn't want to support the company for screwing her over. Sadly she is back and actually high up in the company but people still think she is gone because she cannot really do the original voice the exact same way after 4 years of doing.

If they set it up as a on going story in videos that the A.I. was multiplying but they immediately had personality and shortly after they were introduced as streamers on their own channels it could have worked. But it was all slapped together as they went.

Also to add to this, Ai never adapted to vtuber meta. Her and Kaguya Luna both stuck to video content while streaming was becoming the thing for vtubers. It is most likely because both had shit to do outside of vtubing and the people behind them were not able or willing to figure out how to pay someone full time to play games.

I think the problem was a failure to optimize the Youtube algorithm. I subbed to her back in like 2017 but then her videos stopped appearing in my Youtube homepage and I forgot she existed for awhile. Cover has been a lot better with keeping their girls on the front page.
