Could we draw an actual line of how much of a vtuber's past is acceptable to talk about? Obviously irl shit is unacceptable and that's clear as day, but a lot of currently active vtubers had past vtuber personas, and it isn't explicitly written in the rules that it's forbidden to talk about those. Yet, if the discussion pertains to certain Hololive girls, it gets deleted immediately.
Also there were a ton of graduations in the past few months, and I'm sure fans of those vtubers would love to know where they ended up. We're gonna be seeing a lot of discussion in the next two weeks regardless, so it's best to put the foot down proper and in writing already.

Kson threads break the rule. It's more like a soft rule for roommates who don't vtube on their other accounts. If she vtubes, she's fair game. So long as you're not deep diving to find their other personal social media accounts or trying to find out where they live, it shouldn't be an issue.

Except sometimes it does get deleted anyways, so it's more up to the mods' whims than it is to some actual explicit rule. Speaking of graduated vtubers technically shouldn't be against the rules but discussion about Senzawa is sure as hell much more likely to get deleted than about say, Kiryu Coco or some random 2views.

A lot of still active be roommates do. Also, a pic of an ex holostar's roommate's videos got posted without consequence. It's a clear double standard.

Personally, I think roommate streams oughta be fair game until they stop vtubing. Their roommates' content is just bonus material for generals to circlejerk over, so long as it stays in the respective generals.

Better yet, move all the generals and their discussions of roommates onto /vtg/ while leaving /vt/ as a pure vtuber random discussion board so that roommate posting from generals doesn't leak. The board gets more room to shitpost while the generals get more room to propogate. Everyone wins.

NijiEN threads have been open about discussing or referencing past personas, so long as they don't veer into IRL or doxxing territory (speculating where they live, as an example, gets reported and deleted somewhat quickly). A meido also deleted a string of shitposts complaining about previous incarnation discussion, while leaving said discussion alone, so at least one meido seems to agree on this front, but I do have to repeat that this was in regards to NijiEN.
Hololive and /hlgg/ get more moderation so who knows how it'll be when the council girls formally debut.

We often mention Coco and Kson, and it seems to be fine. Obviously if the past or future of a VTuber is another VTuber, it should be acceptable. It’s also unavoidable.
