Zen raided her one day (she was averaging 20 ccv at the time, a literal 2view) and Geega made a strong impression. She started joining Zen as a regular collab partner, and over time eventually made it all the way up to 4view status, and joined a few months later. The members of VShojo collab outside of the group literally constantly, and elevate a lot of others just by being in proximity with them. Hell 2 of /vsj+/'s favorite +'s at the moment are mid 3views who were relatively unknown before they got invited to the Minecraft server. None of these collabs were on the behalf of VShojo as a corporate entity, which is all just a roundabout way to say that if Doki feels so strongly about this there's quite literally nothing stopping her from doing the same. There are undoubtedly hundreds, if not thousands of people who would love to collab with her. She's recognized her lack of networking as a weakness, so why not try to fix it?

Simply said, companies aren't charities, and if a company does what they need to survive, that's capitalism baby. Indies, VShojo, Phase and small corpos, benefit from having not being closed playgrounds and it's easy to network around, but that won't do ANYTHING if you aren't entertaining to keep viewers, if you don't talk about what you want to do, if your ideas are just still ideas and not even trying to do something even with the resources at hand, it's on the same value as those 2views who believe that a model means views, it doesn't, your content and personality are what define truthfully a "gamble" or "hidden gen" and you shouldn't just be hired for that, but you do need to get an audience.

A great example is LordAethelstan, he threw his shot at Ironmouse by making a song with a pirated copy of FL Studio and some shitting editing learned from Youtube. And this was when he was a 2view. He could have stayed as a "funny haha 1 hit "producer"", but through having a funny personality and collabing around, he became a 4view and he never needed to join some company as VShojo, Nijisanji or Hololive, he only joined MSM and even back when he joined it was only him and a few vtubers and he was around the 3-4view threshold

But in this industry there seems to be way more standardization of contracts across the company; recent HoloEN girls typically have way more industry experience than Myth did, but they all have a similar revenue split model and merch cut.
But if you hire an established indie or a recent graduate from another corp, you're both snagging an established audience, and removing a competitor from the market.
Digging for uncut gems seems to be high risk for no reward, from a business standpoint.

It's a huge gamble for 2views, I would make a case for 3views, but not for 2views. I don't think it's a dumb premise, but it's a risk that companies most likely don't find appealing. Any company could easily hire a bunch of 2views, give them thousands of viewers and one really stupid drama could see that investment burn to ashes. A 2view chat is much different than a 4view chat, and the possibilities of a vtuber being one-guyd into drama or saying something that a 2view can get away with but not a 4view is high if they aren't properly trained and even then just a bad day could ruin a vtuber's career.
