It's pretty much the dumb jumpscare that gets connected to other darker themes like corruption, moral degeneration, etc which works since the reader is a 'witness' that's jacking off and not the characters which mean the natural insert is the cuck.
It's cheap pain and spice that's relatively easy to add in dialogue and art. Not quite sure how it can get transferred over to writing since the more cerebral nature doesn't quite let you get the same cheap ease as in visual works.

I wouldn't know about Beatani but I like that Temako has no fear of coming here in 4Chan live on stream, saves all her fanart no matter how shitty it is, reads our comments and questions, etc. Outside of that, she has a very nice feel to her streams which isn't very high energy but isn't boring. I can tune in even to her Apex and still find it entertaining just from her reactions to shit that happens in the game. She does her best to respond to every comment in chat even when it's just annoying blog posters and does ASMR which is pretty UOOH. I couldn't really sell her to you beyond that because I've been there since the beginning and waking up everyday at 6AM to watch her streams, waiting patiently for her to wake up at midnight, she is a nice indie that deserves good things. She even cried from receiving her first superchat, it's heartwarming.
