They didn't buy the stocks all at once. The big jump is them announcing they buyback and existing shareholders running up the price to take advantage of the fact that Anycolor was forced to purchase them. They then purchased stocks regularly over the course of a few weeks. Another anon pointed out earlier that their trade volume has been so low that basically all activity on them has been the company buying back their own shares to keep it from falling. Now they have run out of buybacks and the only thing stopping it from falling faster is that nobody wants to buy it even at the tanked price.

The stock market is completely out of tune with real life, under what counts as 'good practices' there the buyback pumps the stock faster than re-investing, so you should do that to keep your shareholders happy and if you don't shareholders might chimp out and sue you for not prioritizing them.

Of course if you as a CEO have a pair you can dig in and say re-investment trumps fake growth even if the line goes up less, but 'decisive' or 'controversial' are scarcely labels you can apply to Riku, it's clear any previous successes were solely him coasting on the work done by the previous CEO whose name escapes me.

They can only buyback every 6 months. This current buyback was done 6 months to the day after their December 2023 buyback.

Also, fun fact: Anycolor promised 30mil in buybacks by April 2027, so in 3 years. They have already covered 7.5mil, or 1/4th of that. In the best case scenario, where they buyback 7.5mil every time, they will do 3 more buybacks ~11 months apart. What is more likely, however, is that they will keep doing buybacks every 6 months (5 more buybacks in total), with an average of 4.5mil spent every time.
Basically, expect them to do at least 1 buyback a year, and spend at least 4.5mil on them each time. Last December's 1.8mil one will be nothing compared to these.

I'm feeling generous today, here is a chart from someone who actually trades profitably happening upon this thread by accident.

Currently, your porn stock is moving to 2.305, if it holds there it will re-tests the high located at 2.702, it will then again fail to attempt to make a higher low (assuming the low will be 2.305) if it holds, you can expect a new high to be around 3.040.

Stop listening to people who say news effects markets, it doesn't. The news follows the chart, not the other way around.

Yeah, if you haven't seen, on Feb 5, they fired their most reputable streamer and tried to smear them horrifically, and it blew up in their face. Then on Feb 12 they doubled down and every single streamer they own outside of japan started bleeding viewers at a rapid pace (which still hasn't stopped.) Then in mid march, they released their Q3 report, which spiked the stock down, and then the Q4 report in mid june was counteracted by them announcing a 48 million dollar buyback (which just ended a few days ago.) Every other rise they've ever gotten since february 5 was from their competitor, Cover corp, announcing a major project, event, or the results from their own IR.

>Holobronies rewriting
Hololive was mogged hard. Nijisanji makes double what they make and their stocks flew. Then Hololive mooched off their success only to crash again. Stay looping

Pretty much this. People will say she didn't matter but she planted the seeds of NIJI HATE in the EN community.

I still think she was one of the most important Holos in all of Vtubing.

>accidentally caused the shit storm that was leveraged into EN1 catapulting them at light speed(learn how algorithms work before responding)
>planted the original Nijihate on 4chan that became fuel for Zaion which and then erupted into an inferno when Selen was terminated
>First Holo to successfully return to the indie scene which saviorfags used to help other Chuubas

It's funny because NIJIEN would have had a longer leash in the West if not for what there fans and mods(who are basically employees) did to her.

How much of their gross revenue did they just finish dumping into a buyback? How high is the stock now, compared to its level right before the start of it?

For comparison to gross go to "(2) Statements of Income".
For what they started the year in liquid cash fat to burn on buyback compare to "(4) Statements of Cash Flows" which is the line "Cash and deposits" on "(1) Balance Sheets". In total it was a little under 1/3 of the company start of year assets for one month.
