Usually collab events are just hosted on whichever channel is the main organizer's. Most likely even with the name change and sponsor in 2020, Maimoto was still the one who took the initiative to ask about contacting Konami, gathered the members and planned the rules, etc. whereas in 2021, obviously management is going to want the repeat of their literal most popular event. It's possible Konami just asked for it to be hosted on the main channel too.

If they want to host their own concert, probably yeah. The most management is doing is giving manpower through staff, and letting them use the studio, but that's most of the costs anyways.

MVs are the same. Unless it's sponsored, the vtuber themselves contacts the mixer, artist, video editor, etc. and pays out of pocket. Niji has a lot of vtubers capable of doing this anyways though, so sometimes they save on that.

Costumes are also the same. Everyone gets a default obviously, and a 50k costume they get to choose. Then there's apparently some sort of point system they can build up to redeem free costumes again. Other than that, you usually also get free costumes for company sponsored seasonal stuff, but I'm not sure if they still do that with how huge the company is now. I don't think JK Gumi paid for the majority of their costumes for example.

For 3D, they apparently give you the minimum of the 3D model obviously + background stages, the studio, manpower help, and all the costs with the song you usually sing at the end. Anything extra like a live band is out of pocket.

Conserts - no paygate consert is paid out of their own pockets. Neither are 3D debuts or anniversaries. Birthdays or other random ones they do have to pay. They also have to pay for extra features for their 3ds - things like extra scenarios apart from granted 1 or the default idol, gym, etc
MVs usually paid by themselves, unless it is more official ones like bloom ones, but those pay for themselves in ads with around 1m views. The 10k per song is for originals, by the way, - making covers are much cheaper.
New models - some are paid by themselves, some aren't. As a rule of thumb, if they come in batch for a gen, they don't pay by themselves (like 1st alternate outfits or new years stuff)
Merch also depends. Most brand collabs like nendos or the baseball stuff aren't paid by themselves; while most of anniversary or birthday merch are paid by themselves, and they also get the full profit from it

You need to lurk moar, this gets brought up time and time again, but Ina is very consistent on when she streams, and her fanbase is smaller than Gura's (Subs ARE a decent indication of overall reach + fanbase unless you've been around forever and have accumulated 'dead subs')
Gura has fans in all timezones (JP, KR, CN, EU, RU) so her VOD views go up pretty significantly. Also, you really can't compare a vod that's been up for 5 days (Ame) vs END PT 2 (1 day).

As far as 3D solo events, I think Cover has hired someone that the girls can consult. That's why you have a scriptwriter for Polka. You also have Okayu just throwing vids she wants for her 3D solo and asking staff to make it happen. Marine's soap opera had a staff handling everything. Suisei's concert was pretty much her bullying staff to make new assets for her. Gen5 have new assets made for them. Staff is also present in most if not all group events that specific holos made up like the sports fes and mk. I think only Usaken Festival didn't have staff present.

So IRyS continues to perform very well for Karaokes. I set her baseline as 15-20k for karaoke, which has held strong. However, I expected a slight debuff tonight since she titled it "casual singing" and she is still hovering around 13k. Very strong numbers.

For a chuuba that was mainly hired as a vsinger where the gaming streams are just a bonus, those are much stronger numbers than similar hololive members like Sora and AZKi. Her gaming streams have been putting up pretty decent numbers too.

So far yes, but that was consistent with Group A and B too, which eventually matched and exceeded their respective peaks last year. This year's finals is going to be longer as well and for these types of streams, longer = more viewers.

192k is still like 40k away so I don't want to be that bold and say today will break 200k for sure, but it's certainly possible.
