anons, how old is too old for streaming?

I've built a small following, and an average ~6 viewers... But I'm hitting 30 in two months. There's no hope of me getting in on any corpo (male, bri'ish, 30), and surely I'm going to hit the wall sooner than younger streamers, right?

nta, but I'm 29. I've found strategy/planning games attract an older audience - if I'm doing CK3, then my audience is definitely amongst the older crowd. Portal pulls in kids (even though streams marked as 18+). Stardew pulls in university students, for some reason.

I don't think Twitch analytics provides ages of your viewers, because they don't have to put them in, but I'd definitely be interested in the data, seeing whether different games in a single series pull different ages or not.

Anyone seen much difference in audience for Skyrim/Oblivion, or Fallout NV/3/4?

It is more of an ideological battle: should indies vtubers try to imitate their Japanese counterparts or should they become western-like streamers.
Shirara is trying to give the jp experience so I don't think anyone is going to care. Koopa on the other hand is actively fighting against it which is what triggered the holobronies - Shirara did not release a video mocking her goslings, she had a slip up. No one will give a damn.

At it's core, the voice and content carries the stream while the model (in this case, PNG) just gives the mind an identifier.
That said, Nade's Singaporean/Japanese mixed accent or whatever that is filters me hard, and the sloth isn't what I'd call... entertaining, not even slightly. Call me harsh if you want, but it is my opinion.

Vtubers play characters, wether they like it or not.
Their chuuba face isn't their real face.
People who fall in love with them fall in love with cartoons, people are 90% looks.
Their chuuba names are not their real names.
Their voice isn't their real voice.

When they ship themselves with other chuubas they are bringing their real life relationships into the novel they are writing, which is EXTREMELY CRINGE for an author to do, and happens a lot.
This happens a lot with webcomic authors that suddenly get a gf self insert in their "forever alone fat guy" comics after they blow up and finally get female attention.

On the other hand, self inserting personal relationships on your stories? Cringe.
If Nina goes full cringe I will probably not be able to handle it, but she probably won't. She actually likes a lot her character and magic girl concept. She's an actual storyteller.

On the other end of the spectrum, I've been always a bit critical of L&A style. Their characters are married inside the lore just as they are outside of it. This is the story they wanted to tell and it works to a certain degree.
This is their thing and I respect them for going with it, although it now has the predictable result of people commentating play-by-play their relationship. Real-life is now writing the plot which is never good.

Also Alice please come back I can't relive my parents' divorce via vtubers.

An for last I guess lesbians get a pass because there is so much pandering with the yuri that no one can even tell if it is real or not.

Koreans aren't real people so they always make weird stuff people can't eat. I tried some of their spicy cup/ramen noodles before. They aren't that good. Sure it's spicy but that's it. There's no flavor. And the more spicy something is the more it moves towards being bitter.
