Curious about your opinions, do you think the new gen will have a community as “popular” as Shiori’s? By that I mean the waiting rooms or prechat. From what I’ve seen, Shiori’s rooms are the only ones ever massively active WAY before streams, every other hololive chat I see either doesn’t exist or is only active near an hour before stream.

No. To this day Shiori still struggles to shake off the struggling indie mindset and it plays a huge part in creating a fanbase like this. They won't find another OG with this much experience and knowledge. Polka kind of does her own thing, too. Especially with video content. The OGs just do their own thing and Hololive is just happy to have them.
