78102608 No.78102608 [Reply] [Original]

Anons like to go on and on about this corpo and the endless fuckups from the EN branch, but what about the main branch?
Has recent events affected anything with NijiJP's longtime presence in japan?
Have any recent talents shown remorse being employed by them?
Are their numbers also declining like EN?
Can they no longer be considered the main competition of Hololive there?

This is more important with seeing whether the yacht will sink or not than EN.

>> No.78102623

no impact
Nijisanji's top talents are basically monoliths of the industry at this point

The top males arent that affected and still are the best performing Maletubers in the industry right now. Everyone else is seeing decline though. There have also been some recent graduations from top livers.

You saw the report. They earn more than ever.
Morale could be better, but it isn't the lowest. And it never was really high in first place. One thing I would say is that they all lack ambition, so they're fine with doing whatever Anycolor tells them to do.

Nijisanji main branch has 146 members anon. ALL Hololive production talents (including ex-talents) is still smaller than this group alone in terms of population

Sure Kuzuha leaving can cause decent damage to the yacht, but they can continue surviving. What they really wanna avoid is either the company itself is in danger like tax evasion or China starting WW3, or the organs organize a coup in Nijisanji and JP sisters call for boycott. Once you lose the JP sisters, you are done for, and no amount of buyback can get that fanbase back

JP is doing fine but not really growing. I know that for Q4, they spammed merch drops, used part of NijiFes merch profits to pad up numbers, and had a few successful concerts, but their report clearly states most of the money is from merch. People only have so much tolerance for shitty cookie-cutter merch where even bootlegs are higher quality.

Also, the yen is not doing good, so the increase in revenue is made negligible by the decreasing value of the yen. The money being used for a stock buyback instead of improving assets will lead to them getting left further behind in technology as well

>> No.78103995

>>78102608
Nijisanji's "management style" (or lack thereof) has always been chaos. It works just fine in JP because there's no language barrier to cause confusion or get in the way of communication, but the entire reason the foreign branches keep imploding is because they just apply this same management style to everyone else. They let foreign talents just roam free range and assume they won't do stupid shit because making the company look bad ultimately sabotages themselves as well.

JP is perfectly fine if you aren't serious about vtubing or if you just want to make money streaming, but if you want a pursue a serious idol career, they're a dead end and you're better off using them to get exposure.

if you follow JP vtubing atleast before 2019 you know that nijiJP is stuck, while holo and vspo are thriving and keep climbing, reason? mostly normal general stuff like unlike holo and vspo who come with unique "niche", niji are just a general vtuber company, which mean that they are competing with many other general vtuber company without anything special coming with them, the other reason is that their livers finally realise how shit niji is and how others are treated and paid better, thats why they are starting to leave and ofc niji as black company keep shoot themself on the foot, its just they can "hide" it in japan easily, meanwhile for EN/west they cant do that, thats why everyone can see how dead nijiEN is.

Most of jp's first and second wave have graduated and like a quarter of the others don't even stream anymore. Jp is "fine" in that they have enough people to fill a 24h rotation and enough talented performers to churn out a 3D collab or concert every odd month.

>> No.78106337

>>78103995
We should add cultural differences and that will be the full answer. JP talents can survive and do well in such no management style because they are brought up differently.
People from other cultures like india, indonesia, america become total monkeys if they're left to roam free. Most of them feel zero need to give back to the community if management doesn't force them to and some will go out of their way to "own" their audience.

Revenue wise, niji Q4 is lower than holo. It should be fine unless you use most of that Q4 revenue to do stock buyback at the growing company which promised to expand overseas.

I blame management for not vetting the talents properly. It's not hard to filter the selfish turds out of the application pool.

>> No.78109195

Short term, the branch as a whole is doing OK. They have some good talents that draw a lot of eyeballs and aren't being crushed by any big scandals right now. There have been some graduations of some older vTubers but it hasn't impacted them too badly.

The problem is the company is not being run very well and the money is being blowtorched on useless shit like stock buybacks. Because nothing is being invested in the company or talents, in thr long term, their competitive edge will decline.

I am convinced Riku is going to sell his shares soon and try to offload the whole thing on someone else.
