Putting all eggs on certain individuals instead of sharing the eggs to all organs is a doom-to-fail model because they will heavily rely on that organ and collapse when the organ is gone

Like look at Hololive, even someone as small as Aki can still survive because her fanbase is decent enough to keep her afloat, meanwhile the runts of Niji will never taste popularity because there are 100+ organs fighting for limited spots and limited fanbase of sisters

I mean considering how hard they hemorrhaged talent the past two years, it's not at all a surprise for them to say "yeah this might keep happening and we cannot stop them from walking out, so don't assume the profits from scarle and hex will keep coming in forever."

It doesn't mean for-sure there will be more notable exits soon but we literally just never know, some like Pomu and Kyo were way less telegraphed than Selen and Zaion and were literally in "rrats in /vt/ quoting a few select snippets about how they're unhappy about something" as evidence prior to their posting the termination notice. Nobody might leave for a year or two (HIGHLY unlikely imo) or someone totally unexpected like Meloco might leave tomorrow. Seems nothing's off the table anymore.

Graduation is leaving (hopefully) on good terms. Retirement means quitting VTubing.
There are more reasons for a VTuber to graduate than just retirement (i.e: moving on to another VTuber identity).
For example, Pomu would've been a graduation instead of a retirement. Roa, if she ever officially graduate, will likely be a retirement.

She is effectively gone either way. Whether she gets a soft graduation like Bon the day her contract expires, or if she gets Zaion'd the day before, depends on the real reason for her months-long absence and Niji's willingness to ruin the post-Niji career prospects of the talent behind the Kotoka Torahime character (who lives in Japan and is subject to the entirety of the contract, and also to Japanese defamation laws).
>>78123180
It would be nice if Sayu and Kotoka buried the hatchet, although management would very likely retaliate against Kotoka if they found out she offered an olive branch to Sayu, or accepted one from her. If talent reconciliation and management retaliation is the reason for Kotoka's "hiatus," then she absolutely will be terminated for it, even if for no other reason than to (try to) warn the other talents against giving Doki or Sayu so much as the time of day. When they'll formally do it will be either the day when they tire of selling cheap plastic merch with her face on it, or the day before her contract expires, whichever is earlier.
Remember that this same retaliation may be why Finana had to give her "Zaion gaslit me" speech, and is why Ren got a one week suspension for his "I don't hate Zaion Lanza" tweet.
