The question isn't even about comparing current sales. It's about comparing the potential increase in the US market, versus the potential increase in the European market which is double the size.
It's doubtful that any of this played even a minor role in their business expansion decision.

You have no idea how big English language entertainment is in EU I see. The vast majority of average European men under 40 easily consume several times the entertainment in English compared to their native tongue
