weird and unusual questions can actually reveal quite a lot about a person depending on their reaction and asking someone about a childhood trauma can produce a lot of varied results and said trauma not being very relevant

as a vtuber/idol they're likely to be subject to a lot of creepy or invasive behavior from fans and antis alike so gauging their reaction is good. secondly the ability to talk at length about a subject, diverting it if need be to something an audience would want to hear is also good. finally the trauma might actually be relevant if it's something that would affect them mentally or physically and cause problems for them or the company. there's probably more angles but when it comes to interview questions how you answer is often more important than the answer itself
