A lot of people didn't like their overacting from the start. They were also distracted by other conflicting activities the whole time they were debuting and working for Hololive. No wonder then that they've also gone from sounding like forced baby voices to granny voices where speaking at all has to be forced. For me – their move to Japan.
The biggest comparative advantage FWMC had was their work ethic. Especially compared to the rest of the industry that's choke full of zoomer bitches that want to do whatever feels fun that day, rather than grinding out streams day in and day out like a job that streaming is.
Fuwamoco were the EN content machine, always having a full schedule, rarely bailing on it and providing a regular, predictable stream of content. It was good for them financially too, since they built a fanbase that was in a habit of checking out their content and throwing money at them every single day.
I particularly enjoyed FWMC morning, watching every episode as I get my morning coffee, like I did with AsaCoco once upon a time.

It all broke down with their move. There hasn't been a morning show in a month. Gaps started widening between streams. We even get less posts on Xitter.
I don't know and frankly don't care what caused it. Was it the move itself (you had 3 months to fix your living situation, that is PLENTY, why the hell didn't you?), the rapid increase in dance and singing lessons (you are a streamer first and foremost, the idol dream should be long dead and burried) or just the realization during their break that they could coast like most other ENs and still get a decent paycheck.
I let my membership run out last week and don't intend to go back unless they return back to their regular groove.
