I think if there's one thing I can say about aki's fundamentals is that she's too defensive, which if you're playing guile its fine but she should try being more aggressive as to not get overwhelmed

story mode is pretty good, I enjoyed it a lot. I literally sank 200 hours on it doing it several times with different builds.
There are several things however:

1- Dont forget to use the items, particularly candy for damage, some people get bored because the mob fights get too long and are too frequent
2- Upgrade your clothes constantly: you can put them in with special threads that boost your damage. I recommend just sticking with the blanka outfit until late game, it just has to be upgraded once.
3- Do not neglect the skill tree. Don't let levels build up
4- Constantly buy XP food, both for masters and regular this will save you time and make the game less frustrating. Best one is in France.
5- Have a command grab ready. Later on the CPU cheats like hell reading imputs for the "hard fights". Gief SPD is the optimal one but Manons works well and its easier . After end game, JP embrace reigns supreme.
6- A personal trick: if I needed to practice combo I practiced it in world tour against the guy at the feet of Haggars statue, that way I get free xp for my regular training and you can challenge him infinite times. You can farm him pretty much until end game (40 lvl ish)

Holy based. Team Tako grows stronger. When I hit Diamond, I was almost gonna take a break and switch to Tekken, but then UMA won and inspired me to go for Master.

I'm more of a takojisan, so I try not to play too much, but I definitely share the feeling that being a vtuber fan makes it easier to stay motivated in life. Whether you're grinding towards your career, or a Smash fangame like devanon, or Evo, or anything else.

Juri anon akuma diary day 18

I began the "killer' max damage- burnout combo training yesterday. I waited until now to do it because I wanted to see if something more optimal came up for moderns.
However my training is pretty particular: I had some training in neuroscience, so there a few tips I picked up along the way that can maximize my learning process.

1- The secret to building building memory is in fact, stress. Stress tells the brain: this is important, learn it. This is why relaxed absentminded combo training doesnt work.
So, I find ways to artificial increase stress to make sure I am taking advantage of every second.
I for example do a 20 minute session in seiza: the samurai sitting position thingy. That makes your legs eventually hurt. After the 20 minute session yesterday I told myself: One to get up? Do it right once. I was there suffering for about another 20 minutes until it finally did it once. It was pure pain.
I did the same thing squatting. and with my leg rising in juri pose. Similar deal. After 20 minutes, I would tell myself: " tired? Do it once more and you can leave'.
It might have worked, for when I woke up today, I was doing so great I told myself to do two in a row instead if I wanted to leave, and did those easily. Tomorrow I will be three, and so on until 20.

2- Post training, a good way to make sure memories are consolidated is adrenaline and dopamine. The easiest way to get those is a cold shower, but there is an even more power way: the ice bath. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAQvARgJti4
Since I dont have a bathtup in my house, I did a budget icebath post training: i just soaked my feet in ice water. Research shows it has similar effects in boosts. It was painful, but it also releases ache from walking so at least there is some benefit. I wont get the ones to the rest of my muscles until I can get a full tub I suppose but this will do for now.

And for the last note: I got FUCKING GREAT results with one leg standing. I do better than sitting in what combo effectiveness regard. I would need to acquire more data about it but I recall something about balance training improving motor memory in general. Think about it, normally any aspect of motor memory, swinging a sword, kicking, involves also some sort of balancing done simultaneously. It is logical motor pathways were wired to improve together, even if those motor muscles are those in your fingers.
I think I saw some youtube video about it too regarding learning french faster by standing in one feet but I cant find it now.
In any case you will know its me in EVO: I will be the one standing on one feet if this is not an statistical fluke.
If anyone wants to try this "hack", please report. To get to where no one has gone before , you cant do what everyone else is doing.

Street fighter (6 in particular) might one of the easier ones to get into I feel, one reason is due to modern letting you slack off on difficult inputs, and the other being a combination of small movelists and moves making it easy to understand their purpose and when you should be using them. Compare with tekken that has textbooks for movelists and 3-4 variations of moves that hit high just at different frame values.
