Japan Expo is big guys, really big, it attracts quite the famous names every year, some top tier mangaka went there. And I really don't think there is a single con bigger than this one in the US.
But to be honest don't see the point for Hololive to be there, yeah it can contribute to attract new people, but when it comes to streaming french tends to only watch french streamers.
And since Hololive doesn't have a partner in Europe for their merchandise, it's a challenge to make profit from this market.

You'll rarely find nice places in Paris where only the locals go (we're one of the most visited city in the world after all, despite our best efforts to trash our reputation).

Personnally, I spend some time in the Quartier Latin, around the Panthéon, which is a district full of students so quite nice. There's a place called Au P'tit Grec, where you can buy good salty crêpes for a decent price, plenty of tourists and French student queue there as well, but you don't have to wait that long.

If you have an erection for anything East Asian, then go for the 13 Arrondissement, plenty of Chinese and Vietnamese over there. We've also got a lot of Koreans and Japanese in Paris, though as they're usually richer they are mostly in the center of Paris.

17 Arrondissement really nice too, you can to there and get scammed in a café, but you would still bé less scammed than in the center of Paris with all thé tourists.

18 and 19 Arrondissements are the place where it's full of Africans and Arabs. Barbès, Pigalle, Porte de la Chapelle, Stalingrad, ... are the most "dangerous", but it's also the cheapest place in Paris itself. It's really not that enjoyable though.

In terms of danger, just be wary of pickpockets, they'll see you're not a Parisian but a fuckin tourist so you'll be prime target. And scammers/tourist traps enforcer everywhere. Heck assume that someone that go out of their way to talk to you in the street is a scammer. Parisians rarely talk to each other, and especially never to tourists, we don't wanna talk English even more.

If you don't wanna have the rude Parisian waiter experience, before talking to any French guy, always say "Bonjour". If you wanna ask more than 1 baguette please, then after saying bonjour, ask the guy if he can speak English, bonus points if you ask him that in French. If the guy can't or don't want, he'll say no, but that let you avoid all the fucking awkward moment where they fucking ghost you.

Why is everyone acting scared when nobody cared when nijiEN was there last year?
The convention happens like 45 minute away from central Paris itself in a business area which is wide and empty and it's right next to CDG Airport, the only downside is if you take the train from your staying place to the con, it gets literally clogged by the waves of attendants especially in the afternoon when everyone want to go back home. you could just stay around as long it's not fucking Paris and enjoy it.

been going there yearly and i even attended to the niji appearance when vox was a retard for 40 minute in a 1h long session, i would say the seats were mostly filled from memories so i can only guess hololive will just fill the area really goddamn fast.
If anyone is planning to go there just for hololive, bring a large water bottle and food, food is overpriced and queue very long during noon
