>I never really thought on how my vtuber inspires the layout of the country
Yeah. That sort of thing seems like its less about the chuuba and more about material factors like location, resources, population, etc.

That said, I've tended to think of /awat/ as being surprisingly low in population, with most younger teamates tending to migrate to other countries. That would imply an older, more traditionalist population and culture, with a large teamate diaspora that has a somewhat different culture. I think it's appropriate to reflect the state of the actual thread. Most teamates are in /hlgg/, not /awat/. I don't know how true this is for other HoloEN fanbases, but I always found it striking how many teamate ritualposts and memes only show up in /hlgg/ and not /awat/ (and vice versa).

Like >>77455877 says, Ame loves nature and romanticizes the farmstead life but she also loves tech and railways, so the idealized teamate life would include both. Maybe there'd be a cultural tension between the desire to industrialize and the desire for ecological conservation.

Any larger cities with a more modern culture would probably be on the coastline, by rivers, or both, just like IRL. IMO, the little island in the middle (pic related, labeled with a red star) is a good place for the capital city since it's a central location with easy access to water, and it's reminiscent of where Ame built her minecraft house.

Yes, I'm a teamate. Speaking of teamate, I was debating on whether to use "teamate" or "investigator" as the moniker for the fanbase. Ame and Gura are a bit unusual in that their fanbase mascots (gators, shrimps) technically represent their members only, and not the fanbase as a whole. It's fun to play with the possibility of a caste system (or maybe an important rite of passage?), but "members vs not" is more of a meta thing that applies to vtubers in general.

>> No.77464639

>>77464051
Teamates could just be the generic term while investigators could be an occupation for select teamates , or could just settle on calling everyone gators. I always refer to teamates and investigators as the same thing most of the time. Maybe teamates could be a slang term for investigators as well?

/morig/ has had a really weird (interesting?) relationship with /hlgg/, back in the /jp/ days (post-myth) deadbeats were a major part of hlgg, but there was a lot of tension and shitflinging, and correlating with the heightening density of mori-related schizophrenia across the board and in global deadbeat presence in /hlgg/ decreased somewhat, and global gained a bit of a "shitty place" reputation in /morig/.
But then about two years ago mori schizos started weakening and /hlgg/ became a lot more unity, and deadbeat levels have now returned to /jp/ era levels, or similar, and /morig/ openly discusses hanging out in global now. In fact, these days if a schizo goes on a spergout during a stream /hlgg/ might be comfier than /morig/ since the latter, being slower, it easier to singlehandedly shit up kek.

I imagine /vnug/ to have a pretty low population density since both the split and the fanbase as a whole is pretty small. I also wrote the number down without knowing what tech level we ended up in so I was going for a safer estimate. I think /vnug/ would have several large cities surrounded by wilderness with small villages scattered in between. I think the climate of the land’s actually very habitable for humans but maybe it’s too warm and sunny for salamoim. Maybe that’s one of the reasons why they’re somewhat isolated since they feel humans might just decide to move in and use the land better?

The caves technically aren’t colder but instead they maintain the average temperature 24/7! Which is probably still better for their body since they don’t have to adjust to the temperature like twice per day
The climate’s supposedly very good for agriculture but I imagine rainforest soil won’t be very fertile, and I guess unlike real life the /vnug/ forest’s more vocal against being deforested
I also thought about giving salamoim other traits that reduce the population density like them being more carnivorous than humans but none of them feel relevant to the thread or what I’ve written about them

Bakery Construction:

The rumor of the flying Bakery being constructed from a space shuttle from space is only "half" true. Possibly a quarter truth. The construction of the flying bakery as it is was done on the ground by Sanallite and breadog airship builders. Baker-chan did arrive in an escape shuttle. But only a third of the shuttle was useable. Most of the mass was atmosphere shields that burned upon entry. The shields were sold and recycled for other shuttles.

The cabin and the shuttle's computer was built into a pre-made boat-like airship structure. The airship is amphibious with both land and water landing gear. The ship can sail in water if the balloon is inoperable. The airship's hull is made from space-age aluminium guilded with a thin layer of steel to protect against canon fire. The airship also has an advanced air-conditioning system that allows it to fly in more extreme temperatures that conventional airships cannot travel. The ship also has electric protection so it can brave thunderstorms when necessary.

As for why Baker-chan was allowed to have such an advanced ship built by Sanallites is a mystery. Baker-chan doesn't quite understand the terms. But seeing as how her bread trade has acquired a lot of treasures and knowledge of Viti's people and their cultures the investors are quite happy with this operation. There's a hypothesis that the ship's investor is a big contributor to Loreli's archives. However that's for another time.

In terms of change in elevation, you can probably compare it to going from Austin to the higher parts of the rockies, except a good bit wetter since it's more exposed to oceanic air. I think the distances are large enough that it isn't super steep, though there's a noticeable grade to the slopes.

>> No.77483900

>>77481710
are air battles common in the world or having defense against canon fire just a by product of being made out of a space shuttle?

>> No.77484315

>>77481710
The bakery infrastucture was surprisingly easy to implement. Since it's all electric ovens there's no worry for fires to break out if the ship tips over. Stovetops and prep tables need to be bolted down in the ship. There's a food rehydrator, but that's only used for rehydrating space rations (an acquired taste that Baker-chan grew up on). Water in the airship has a blue line and a gray line. Blue line is for clean drinkable water usually replaced by rain water or cloud condendation. The gray line is wash water usually from baths that has been filtered for re-use. The most difficult space to engineer is storage. Unlike space the airship is in gravity. And depending on turbulence stored items can be on one-side of the hull to the other in an instant. Fortunately Sanallite goods come in impact resistant packaging. Also storage has modern belts you can tighten to hold cargo in place. Though bigger and heavier cargo will need steel-reinforced bungie cords to help hold it in place. As for securing local fragile goods Baker-chan has her own packaging options like D0UGH-foam peanuts and bubble wrap. There's also refridgerated and freezer sections of the hull for fresh ingredientd. The storage hull is more like a warehouse than a freight ship. Baker-chan still needs to go through and pick out ingredients.

And that's all for now.

You never know when a band of irystocrats will fly by and start harassing your airship.

>> No.77484780

>>77483900
Yes and no. Sanallite ships are naturally made to withstand space debris like asteroids. But asteroids usually don't explode on impact. Which is why the hull has some steel plating for protection. And where there's freight there's pirates, bandits, and raiders.

I brought up the topic of placement in /pcgen3k/, I think we can probably settle on a selection tomorrow. I came up with three proposals, A reassigns a north-east bit of the continental /pcg/ territory + a chunk of coast to the east and the small island, B and C just reassign parts of /pcg/. There's general agreement that /pcgen3k/ is still well under the influence of /pcg/ and likely not the result of some violent secession, it might be a protectorate, or a part of a some of federation alongside some other phase threads.

>> No.77514940

I'm on my lunch break but let me tell you what happened in the last DND one shot. Tomorrow the college classes begin their longer campaigns
>Players all have an idea of finding a famous risuner and being hired as bodyguards
>They find Jayawan (old Risu character from last world that dealt with /who/) literally having a rave/party outside cuz why the fuck not
>They have to literally distract half the crowd to get to him
>"Hey you going back to the exclusion zone? Hire us bro"
>One player passes but another doesn't convince the guy he's a merc so he has to say he's a servant to another player FUN FACT HE WAS BLACK LOL
>They finally go after an hour of party time and are allowed in.
>Jayawan does his shit while they look around and find a crazy potion lady
>Random potion lady literally starts throwing random shit at them because they look like good test subjects
>The girl player takes one of her cats for some reason but Im rushing the ending so I just allow it
>Jayawan is all set with his shit and they witness gem magic bullshit and are quite terrified
>Before they leave they are warned if they spill the secret that they will be hunted down and exterminated (my exact words)
>They make the decision to not do their quest which was to find out wtf they are doing.
>Quest giver is fucking pissed and they have to deceive him into thinking they dont know shit (they succeed)
>Ends with them getting their memories wiped by a deadbeat wizard no questions asked.

So in about 3 hours or so I will be posting all the stuff I have for vnug. Of course vnugboi I would love to know what you think since it's your thread but of course everyone can tell me what you all think.

I will say I do intend to have a starting village right near the saplings border and have the whole village essentially be flower central (got the idea from Floaroma town from Pokemon gen 4) as well as overall a pretty peaceful little place.

Oh and vnugboi. This one I think you might like. You know Team Yell from one of the Pokemon games. Well I am gonna have a small enemy faction of just obnoxious assholes who play jazz music all fucking day called "Jazzers".
If you know, you fucking know. :)

The deadbeat is naturally drawn to the comfort of the necropolis and the heaving masses of fellow deadbeats, so Morijigoku finds most of its population in its cities, varying between 85 and 90% depending on the economy. This is possible thanks in part to the heavily demonized agricultural industry; a single bakemushu-drawn machine can do the work of dozens of peasants, so there isn't as much of a need for a large rural workforce.

They're a strange people, those deadbeats. A strange mixture of gregarious and taciturn is a common archetype for them. Many countries regard them with disdain, though their standing in the global forum has been improving over the eras. Overseas they tend to take on a subtle demeanor and integrate the local culture best they can, unless otherwise is required of them, but at home they are boisterous in their expressions of their ethnic quirks, between their grand, near conspicuous civil and religious rituals, grandiose craftsmanship and architecture, or their propensity to let their passions turn them against one another. Do not let their ghostly appearance or violent nature deter you, however; a deadbeat makes for a loyal friend and steadfast ally, if their respect is earned.

Before banana pudding was ruined by corn syrup we used to have a family recipe that was like a bread pudding but with vanilla waffers. Vanilla waffers were like these really soft round vanilla cookies that absorbed any moisture. So we layered the bowl with cookies, a thin layer of pudding, banana slices, a thicker layer of pudding, and whipped cream on top. Not sure if princess Luna would like that.

Much like it's people, Morijigoku has a bipolar nature; there are the lowlands, and there are the mountains. The lowland and coasts a hot a wet, familiar places, pleasant to most if you can handle the heat. Some sprawling jungles and forests cover most of the northern parts of the country, while the breadbasket of the country, the riverlands to the south, show the path to the alpine regions. Most densely populated are the coasts, where a series of cities have grown to be major trade centers and are on the receiving end of large amounts of immigration and other foreign imports.
As you climb into the mountains, you enter into a realm of magic and arcana. The soil, air and water itself is thick with the magic of the deadbeats, and the people grows more zealous and religious. Even for the high altitudes, these lands are much colder than they ought to be, blanketed as they are by a hellish cold; survival is a challenge the deadbeats of those regions must face with gusto every day, and is improbable for a foreigner without support. Looking down upon the sacred Ilimyth valley is the hulking Mont Mori, the nexus of the deadbeat faith, and obligate pilgrimage site for all members of the faith.

Umm... I'm not sure of /vtwbg/ is populated enough to have an urban/rural divide. But here goes:

Most of the population lives where most of the food is. And most of the food is in the crag rock sea. There's piers on the rock walls where natived go fishing with nets and crab buckets. They also navigate the pools in high tide with shallow skiffs or rafts. Naturally homes are built on stable dirt around these piers. But there wasn't anything to consider urban until the airship port was built. Once the airship port was made trade and tourism centered around air travel. Even then the cities aren't very big nor tall as construction materials must be imported by air. Which means Loreli is limited on heavy construction materials since big freight ships and galleons can't make it without risk of crashing into the crag stones.

Most land around the mountain caldera is used for farming and foraging. There are some settlements that might be considered permanent around the fruit orchards. But most of the time buildings move from reed patch to reed patch. In one season you cut, dry, then weave reeds and grass in the same patch during harvest season. Then you move your buildings and camps to the next patch for the next grass harvest.

>> No.77535474

>>77534991
The mountainous parts are deadly cold, but an ecosystem of creatures adapted to life in those conditions has evolved despite that, and populates it fairly densely. Almost no plants can survive these, but there are large glacier lakes where species of fish can thrive. Many creatures have blood infused with antifreeze protein which allows them to survive in those temperatures; this is a characteristic shared by Deadbeats.
The lowlands are for the most part quite fertile, with the exception of the desert found in the southernmost part of the country; though even there the seasonal floodings of the rivers running through the flatlands allow for fruitful agriculture.

Speaking of cold boiling I think to do it all you need is room temperature water and frozen or liquid gas. Carbon Dioxide I think dry ice is easy to make and use. Throw some dry ice in a bowl of water and you got cold boiling water. Though there might be some frost on your oats but you can rinse it off. Now we need to figure out a cold sugar syrup we can use without heating it up.

That's all for cold cooking right now.

You're walking down the streets of a bustling deadbeat city perched between two peaks in the easternmost part of the Onyx range. Most individuals around you are gliding along the pavement in thick, puffy robes that undulate gently in the biting wind. You, on the other hand, are wrapped up in layers upon layers of furs, the bare minimum required to help you preserve your body heat. The mass of clothing is so thick you can barely flex the hands in your mittens, but you eventually make it to your destination, the Resting Fenix Grand Hotel. Unlike most buildings around, it has almost no windows, and a billowing cloud of smoke is escaping from a chimney set atop its roof, an uncommon architectural feature in these parts. You push open a first door to enter an antechamber, and it closes behind you before you open the second one; mercifully warm air strikes your face and returns some life to your reddened cheeks. A hostess greets you as you begin to peel off layers of your accoutrement; like you, she isn't a local, she has the look of a kaiserreich girl, identifying her as the daughter of the establishment's founder, or perhaps some other relative.
You ponder the wondrous effort which must go into keeping a building warmed to temperatures comfortable to you, a foreigner, while the thermometer dips fifty degrees below zero right outside. You also ponder how cute the red-haired girl is.

The rock palms split in half would make okay rafts. The bark is quite waterproof. But you're right we do need other wood to build better shaped boats. I imagine the fishing boats would only carry up to around five people along with the hull. Bigger ships would make it difficult to navigate the crag.

Another idea for wood is floatsam. Though floatsam and driftwood would be better used for firewood. There might be some good pieces in there from time to time. The continental channel is a popular trade route. And sometimes ships sink on the way.

Hello you sexy mother fuckers. Dnd time in Vnug recap
>Made a little village right next to /uuu/ border called Puellola Village as the starting point
>Told everyone that this village is being harassed by some annoying jazz music lovers who come around and play music obnoxiously loud for no reason
>LETS INTRODUCE YOUR CHARACTERS FRIENDS
>I should clarify I have 2 classes so 2 different sets of players, they go back to back.
>Group 1 had actual fun but mostly didnt know what they were doing
>Some fucker thought he was hot shit and challenged the mayor of this village to a fight cuz he wanted double reward money. He had only 2 HP. Needless to say he got his fucking ass kicked
>2 people decide to just do fucking nothing for some reason and stay at the village while the other 4 people actually play the game
>They hear a noise in the woods. The thick woods covered in mist which was very clearly emphasized
>Those 2 fuckers get lost

And now Group 2 who is even MORE retarded
>2 out of the 6 players didnt even have fucking character sheets......
>2 told them all your rolls have no modifiers and all your shit is just basic dice rolls
>Introduce the village, the enemies, and the basic plot for now
>"SO WHAT ARE WE DOING" says one of the players without a fucking character sheet
>I tell them either fight or get drunk i guess
>This nigga takes it seriously and nhe party splits (ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA) and 3 people who are actually good at the game go to the camp to find the annoying musicians while the 3 retards go and get drunk
>I decide to do a little trolling and roll for random bullshit and got a 98 out of 100
>ALRIGHT YOU FUCKERS HERES A GIANT SCORPION IF YOU WONT GO TO THE FIGHT ILL BRING THE FIGHT TO YOU
>And out of 3 people vs stinger boy, the "murderous" rogue hides like a bitch, the guy with a hard on for Hades gets one round knocked the fuck out, and the guy without a character sheet rolls like shit (he would have hit if he had modifiers lol)
>Meanwhile the 3 people who are actually having fun walk the path to the musician camp and actually do scouting, recon, other magical shit that actually helps them, and overall play the game properly
And then I came home, took off my pants, slept on the couch for a bit, and now im here.

Vnugboi do you approve of Puellola village? I wanted that general area to be the main point they explore around until later. Puellola means flower or flora in Korean im just too lazy to look it up. And given its close proximity to the saplings border, I thought it would make sense to have a nice friendly village full of beautiful plant life.

It's similar to how humans went from mostly vegiterean to more meat based diets. More complex brains need more calories. And for gators they needed to start moving away from the waters to eat. So land food had some fruits, corn, and beans for when there's no good meat to hunt. Just some ideas before bed.

/news/ has a presence in every nation due to it's position as a global news organization. /news/ hires from the local population and sends them out to report the news in their area for the main newspaper. They are the big news chain for the world, where smaller newspapers from countries such as /#/ or /lig/, both provide articles to and print articles from The Mating Press, like what happens with Reuters or AP here in the real world. Their Correspondent in Chief, Hakos Baelz reports and covers large happenings in What is the world called? There are two worlds on the map site, so I don't know which one is the current active map. if they live off the coasts of /awat/ then gators should have no problem scarfing down their blubber

hey, bump limit
we finally have a function-critical 5-7 AM EST bumper, the sky is the limit now

Maybe since it's summer we can have a second day in the week.

Another successful thread. Same time next week.
Things of note that I will keep track for next week
>Update more of the /awat/ nation
>incorporate /news/ lore into watson industries
>zombies
>how to cook sea bears

don't get too cocky I merely pulled some favors in order to keep the thread kicking but I can't stop you from making a 2nd thread I think the 1 week works the same way /hfz/ does it since there's too much dead air if you make it everyday. Letting ideas stir and ferment for a week seems like a good idea to me

I was thinking twice a week. Wednesday and Saturday. And then when summer ends it goes back to once per week. But I'll leave that up to someone else.

>> No.77675814

>>77675756
Nah, I think weekly is good. Maybe we can do twice a week if we start hitting bump limit in two days.

would need more autism to keep a weekend thread up. I think most people here seem to be est anyways

the one guy described another one earlier. I dont know if I'll draw another design but you could just interchange the hair since nuncover most of their body anyways

Yeah, I made a nun sliced in half between her torso and pelvis. Also talked about a faceless nun and two nuns stitched together.

I look forward to the other designs you think up. Not particularly interested in the guro aspect of it but they are creative. Not sure if I'll get around to drawing some sketches of them but keep up the good work

Guro seems to go hand in hand with zombies in general. I wonder if /meat/heads are interested in the ideas.
