Sayu was the last piece of the puzzle. Her starting to at least get back into the community, and finding out that a lot of it was her own demons and paranoia after the harassment scaring people off, and finally breaking down that barrier by confronting them directly again and showing people that she's not so scary, and that the greater community as a whole really isn't THAT awful and backstabby was just... god.
I just want to cry, man. I've had my guard up for so, so fucking long as both a selen and sayu fan all this time about all of this, and now I'm scared of having the rug pulled out from under me again.

That's honestly fine. Just having that is already an improvement and an opening she needs to start actually interacting with people and making friends again. It's unrealistic to expect her to be as close as the ex-nijis who worked together for years, but at least having the opportunity to approach them as an acquaintance, or even as a stranger like everyone else can is fucking huge, and making friends with the smaller corpos and larger indies like the idol girls is going to be fantastic for her mental health.
Sayu was never a paranoid or drama-prone girl prior to Niji, and it's so fucking cathartic seeing her like that again.

It's not hard to guess that Matara and Sayu were vaguely aware (maybe even keenly aware) of nijisisters using them to try to drive some divisive wedge and plant false controversy narratives to try to take the heat off nijiEN. After all if they keep trying to highlight and force that the ex-nijiEN diaspora are somehow secretly hating each other or selfish or something then that would reduce the strongly united opposition to nijiEN to try to get people bickering amongst themselves.
