these two got into niji without knowing they were related. they were trying to set up a collab when they found out they were attending the same wedding, and from there discovered that they were blood-related (second cousins). they kept it to themselves and presumably some of the niji ID people, to protect their identities. they still ended up bonding over it, and the natural chemistry between them was very palpable in streams, to the extent that people started shipping them.

presumably, niji would have had an idea about their lineage because presumably they would have personnel records. when the chemistry started taking off, they could have capitalized on it. they could have been the sibling vtuber of niji, but they're dumb and completely missed an good organic meet-cute situation which they could've worked into their lores and could've have boosted two good talents.

Basically around last week Niji's virtual talent academy announced an audition for a pair vtuber. Which sounds like a desperate move to rival fuwamoco's fame.

Had they kept the ID branch running including Mika and Bonnivier they could've make the real cousin gimmick as a selling point

Nah this "IF" scenario will never happen

1. They aren't investing in long enough term to keep ID branch alive for another 2 years. Their fate was already sealed

2. That's you assuming they planned to debut couple chuubas back in 2022, when in reality they didn't give a shit about that concept until Fuwamoco becomes the first couple chuuba to have mainstream attention, even though technically couple chuubas did exist for a long while

In all honesty, sounds like he was just pissed off that he had a day off from school, and had to go to the doctor instead of doing something else (presumably something fun). You will see children age 6 or under do this: in order to get around to answering a question, they often have to talk through a bunch of extraneous details that occurred in a similar time frame.
