I guess, but the feeling carried over when I continued watching livestreams. Her Assetto Corsa stream was decent, but the others around that time were also quite boring, fun moments here and there in a lengthy stream where not much is happening.

Rather than moving from my oshi, I moved from everyone else. I was catching streams at odd hours, doing VOD reps, constantly checking /hlgg/, etc. At some point, I had 10 active memberships. But as the novelty wore off, I realized it's actually not that interesting to watch them being bad at games, singing idol shit, or talking about some random shit. I guess it was when I realized that I'll never truly know the person behind the persona they portray and that no matter how much effort I put into bettering myself or working towards some kind of goal that includes them, they'll never even know that I exist. And I'll never have the chance to get to let them know that I exist. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if I donate or not, I'm just another viewer. Another name on the screen for a bit that they notice before going back to what they are doing and forget I'm even there. She was bad at games, but I could handle that to an extent. She never really said anything interesting and had an off sense of humour, but she had her moments every now and then. What pushed me over was the the feeling that it just seemed like she didn’t want me there, despite only leaving nice messages and donating a fair bit. One retard would catch her attention, and then she’d throw a minor hissy fit and complain to everyone watching her, and then there’d just be this uncomfortable feeling in my chest all stream. I thought I wasn’t an attentionfag, but even at best all I ever got was a ‘thanks for the donation’, and it just rubbed me the wrong way that some random JP could smash out anything in Japanese for free and instantly get more of a positive reaction out of her than I could donating $50+ to her and being a nice person in her chat for multiple streams. Gura pre-new year was non-stop energy and fun. I watch Ina because I love her personality, but if I just wanted some quick entertainment I'd see what Gura was up to. The whole entire Gen got stale. The restrictions just started becoming obvious as time goes on, and it's kinda just turned me off their content.

I burnt out on my JP reps as well(but I still do them), so I just gradually dropped off the JP chubas, and the more Japanese I understood, the more stale they became to me. It also doesn't help that the girl I used to member just went MIA for an entire month and a half, and a certain nekomancer's GFE wasn't enough to keep me interested. (I still love her, but good god she needs help, and I can't gachikoi forever).

I would love to be able move on from my oshi. My top 3 were Ame, Polka, and Nene, but Polka stopped pandering to the overseas crowd early on. I still watch her every now and then, but not nearly as much as I used to.

Nene I still watch if no one else is streaming since she caters to the english crowd.

When it became obvious to me that without the "hornyyyyyyy" schtick and the ridiculous amounts of pandering she has done over the past 2 years she would probably be nowhere near as popular as she is today.
