Yeah, I assumed at the time that she meant that both of her names are written with katakana. But thinking back, I can't remember why I thought that. She could've meant just her given name and has a kanji family name (maybe she took her step-dad's name). OTOH, if she was born in America to an American dad, then it would make sense to have both names written in katakana.
