Lets say I wanted to get twitter follows by doing fanart of vtubers on twitter. What would be the ideal size of vtuber that I should draw?

Is going for the biggest of the big a good idea? While being retweeted by them would be pretty amazing, I feel like if I drew somebody like a holo there is a very good chance that they would not even notice.

So should I go for smaller corpos? Maybe large indies? It feels like large indie males get relatively little fanart. Maybe their fans would more appreciate somebody who drew them.

you're about to run into this brick wall between the people that treat streaming as a hobby and people that are hardcore larping about turning this incredibly shaky house of cards they're living in into a career. all I'm gonna say is that if you're in the former camp then like, yes it's fine to come here for advice, but be fully aware you're gonna have a lot of people that wish they were managers telling you do this, don't do that, and you need to know where to just ignore them. if you enjoy streaming with your friends then that's one of those big sticking points between the two camps.

Yes streaming with genmates is different because they can experience their streams on their own accounts and feel happy to see vtubers of the same corpo collabing together as a special treat. The key lesson you should learn here is that if you care about being entertaining as a vtuber which is your main role, you should focus on making it as fun as possible for the viewer. You can always hang out with your friends during your off work hours. Combining the two tend to end in disaster for both things.

Mostly yes. Vtubing is an inherently parasocial hobby, if your viewers aren't receiving attention because your attention is focussed on your IRL friends, then people aren't going to want to watch. You don't have to leave them, I haven't collabed with most of the people here I consider my friends but you can still play offline, or just not stream your own perspective but still jump on and play with friends

Having collabs every now and then is fine, it's good for growth and exposure to a new audience, but unless you have amazing chemistry with that person you shouldn't make them a core part of your content because as a viewer it's not as much fun as being able to talk to the streamer and get attention

There's a follower I have from a good while ago that would come to almost every stream I had and talked to me. They haven't appeared in a while and wondered where they went. I miss them a lot, so I decided to see if I could find them elsewhere. After digging around, I found more information on them, but nothing too revealing though. It all depends, how many collabs? For how long? Playing/doing what?
If it's less than 5, nobody cares. When grace gets big nobody will remember her collab with m*les over BG3, Zenya also had quite a few collab with males before going down the GFE route, the same with denpa and lava although she recently cucked bozus with uwo. It all doesnt matter as long as you avoid repeating that mistake when you get to mid 2view.

Hi /asp/, I just wanted to ask for some advice regarding growth. I was in a weird situation for a year which caused streams to not be very consistent and I am now able to stream freely and make content as I please, the only problem though is I feel it’s stagnated a lot and I’m not sure what to do for getting consistent growth and viewers. I’m currently ranging between being a 1-2 view on where I stream and I do my best to post consistently and interact with people on Twitter (along with posting art). Ah your issue is that you've lost momentum because of inconsistency and now it's way harder to get going. How is your networking? Have you made any friends in your career so far as a vtuber? Your best bet is to ask friends to help raid/support you as you try to be more available as a vtuber. Losing momentum is rough but you need to start from scratch and build it up again. Remember to always be advertising yourself and putting your streams out there wherever you are, even in this thread.

Once you build up a solid core of viewers who would help advertise your stream, you will grow again but right now they need to trust that you're someone who's going to be streaming and to be there for them.

Clicking around your VOD you have good potential, just advertise yourself a lot more and people will love you. Your use of filler words isnt bad at all and just makes it more personal. If you start networking with the girls here, you'll be able to gain an audience quickly. Yeah honestly if your old friends are not people reliable enough to count on, it seems you're pretty much starting from scratch again. I would honestly suggest posting yourself in this thread, shilling yourself and getting to know some of the people here as a good starting point to grow at this point. I do not know if you are a boy or a girl but we have a lot of vtubers under 100 viewers that are extremely approachable and friendly as long as you reach out to them. Try lurking and going through the spreadsheet of /asp/ies and finding people you like the content and talk to them, we're all still just starting out and are making friends.

Though I wouldnt put any hard feelings on you if you decide not to though, there are some rogue elements here that are rough for people without the right mental fortitude but the benefits vastly outweigh the problems and it's by far the easiest and most effective thing you can do to reestablish yourself compared to grinding twitter.
