In some ways yes it just plain is, in other ways however I'd say it sometimes is more along the 'hypersane' type vibe - there is some fundamental core truth in the matter that we're not afraid to address and admit to that the rest of vtuber fandom outside here pretends real fucking hard isn't the case. For example much of the entire holoEN community was totally head in the sand about holostars and thought we were crazy and evil for not wanting to encourage stars/live interaction, as in we did not at all want holoEN to go down the nijiEN route since we clearly saw the writing on the wall for what happens there, yet they did want this (including EN management itself). years later, we were 10000% fucking right on that call and now the rest of the community just kind of grudgingly accepts that they should remain separate, since trying to blend up the audiences for male vs female vtubers only results in mutual hostility and bad feelings that also forces everyone including the chuubas to take sides.
