Well, I don't know exactly what YouTube's dev team is doing. I remember hearing from a video that they use algorithms to predict numbers since like I said verifying those numbers takes a long time, so everything you see from view counts to subscriber counts isn't 100% accurate. That's why sometimes channels get their subscriber counts culled like with what happened to Hololive's new gens 2-4 years ago, but the algorithm for those numbers changes all the time so now that doesn't happen so much anymore.

Current Niji cannot be given the benefit of the doubt because you know damn well they wanna say something to clear this air. The stench of “did you bully her?” infests the atmosphere surrounding their entire brand, and their repeated missteps in public spaces have done nothing to vouch for their character otherwise. Most importantly, some people (i.e., Vox) have demonstrated their willingness to weaponize their fanbase. Others (i.e., Hex) are perfectly willing to hide behind their fanbase like a shield.

There are decent Nijis. But you have no responsibility or obligation to defend these people. They are grown adults working under a multi-billion corporation. They should be able to defend themselves and take the hits to the chin.

If Selen can attempt on her life twice and come back swinging after getting kicked to the curb by people she’s known and worked alongside for 2-3 years, then these Nijis can just chant “sticks and stones” for a few months and weather the storm.
