It can be rough, but it's playing to blue ocean strats. Strike out into territory that isn't seen as often and you might tap into an audience that isn't hit as often. The alternative is the red ocean route, but you need to be GOOD at the game to make much headway there.

Seeing all the CCV talk, I wanna try and get to the upper 10s more consistently now. I managed to follow some of my ideas and stream more often (if I don't have a lazy episode) so I'm thinking about what to do next. Clips and video editing would obviously be the next obvious solution, but I don't have the time to learn it at all unfortunately...I've also been playing with the thought of rebranding into retro games, or completely forego triple A games and focus on very smol itch.io titles, since a lot of people play too many different indie games anyways so the niche I had technically in mind doesn't really pan out. I've also have the advantage of never really playing most retro games like Zelda or similar in the first place and interact with a couple bigger streamers in that regard who shout me out here and there, but that would be the lazy option...

Additionally, I might try and hire a video editor to pump out one video a month? I don't think I have the money to go for more and it seems like the going rate for a 20 minute video/5 hour god is a hundred bucks or so which sounds pretty alright but I dunno. I still have to save up and would prefer to do my own stuff in the future, but then again, I'm lacking time :/

Ignoring triple A games also has the consequences of me ditching a couple games I was looking forward to playing like atomic heart and such, but it would rely on me just drawing new people naturally and that's not really a way to succeed... Ahhh, decisions decisions

Longer stream hours can sometimes help, but that should just be one part of a marketing plan. Longer streams mean less time for clipping and production and just general self-care.

Depends on your availability on stamina and well being too, nobody wants to follow a half-assed zombie because of big numbers.
Maybe try introducing the longer streams as a once a week thing, on dead days but every day may be too much and you'd create a saturation of your image, but hey take it like a bucket of salt

It might be worth if you are already: collabing 4 times per month, networking with minimum 20 chuubas per month, giving shoutouts to those friends you already made and those you wanna get closer to, finishing every stream with a raid.
These things are an easier way to grow than pushing yourself and exhausting yourself with just more stream hours.
That, and remember to grow your offline footprint and archive. It is yet another way to secure better numbers than just streaming.

But, if you like streaming, just go for it anon, nobody can stop you!

I'm constantly on defensive mode because of it, I don't feel safe around women and think they all are gossiping bitches, even now I feel paranoid. I need to be better than those other girls but I feel very small compared to some of them, I see them as better people in some way, where I just become a third wheel again and again. And yet something that a friend pointed out is that they are similar to me, they aren't bigger or better than me, sometimes they are far worse than me... Maybe it's just seeing someone similar to you doing better, being social, making friends, having a better life or even be closer to them, makes me have this internalized self hate and jealousy that is building up. Either way because of how I usually act I tend to be either extremely aggressive and on constant defense mode or just avoiding everything and stagnate in my own misery. I've isolated myself because of it and getting scared of making mistakes again and again, fearing of losing the only person I care about because of my jealousy.
I think I'm slowly starting to come out of my shell and learn to accept others, but I will not lie, it's hard. I stopped being nitpicky over other people to drag them down, being defensive and started to put a veil on my face whenever I see or hear something uncomfortable, it's none of my business and if they are happier that way, so be it. And to find someone who you can call a friend or your other half is far harder. I'm lucky if I don't screw up in one way or another and lose it all, but with my luck..
