It would be nice to see kurosanji nosediving into oblivion after q4 report, but I wonder how realistic it is.
Yes, EN reputation hit the rock bottom and they keep digging down.
Yes, the livers are still losing subs.
Yes, they've lost on some conventions and on valentine merch.
But on the other hand, they rapidfire their 3D debuts, they had AR colors (inb4 concert quality, it did sell tickets), they had that shitty Singapore concert.
They will lose a lot of money due to controversies, but in the end they just need to do better than the last year, and what did they even have for the last year's Q4? Lazulight 3D and valentine merch? Doesn't look like too difficult to surpass.

If we are being completely honest, there are three check marks they need to cross to have a good year, and I doubt they will get all of them

As a dramafag, I don't care about the first two points, but what they have going for the last one is that their last Q4 had absolutely nothing in comparison to this one (AR "Live", 3D debuts, large cons, and so forth), and even if these events flopped, they are still better than nothing at all, which is why nijisanji rdecided to release them. The two big things that stand in their way is the Armageddon that was the beginning of the year and the lack of Valentine merch do their biggest talents. So we will see how it goes

I say its 50-50 flip coin toss. JP probably will do fine since they got 2 concerts from their 2 most popular groups, but EN is a coin toss whether they can salvage their number enough that the sentiment become "well, its not thaaaat bad".

I am still on belief that NijiEN will not live to see Christmas this year though. And I feel like AnyC is feeling whether they can market their JP group instead, with the Chronoir concert in AX.

depends entirely if you talk about EN or JP market, maybe if they buy idol they'll be able to reach the 1% threshold but right now most of their attempts to scratch the EU and EN markets haven't paid off
they're still big, and the EN market is still absolutely tiny (vshojo is only 3% of the worldwide market in) but right now they need more starpower to get a real grip on that market

Every metric we've seen indicates it's that bad if not worse. I'm not sold that AR live and concert was all that profitable, at least from the live concert experience - subtract costs for the venue hire, booking agent fees, PA/equipment/security/staffing, insurance (public liability insurance is pretty hefty in most parts of the world), marketing etc. From what we've seen of the the actual turnout you'd have to be concerned if you're a Nijifan. I don't know how many people bought online tickets though so there is that. If the free portion viewership is any indication I'd be very concerned

Is not so simple. Is not only about Q4 needing to be better than Q4 from past year, this quarter needs to be their best quarter ever. Quarters are just portions of a whole year. Anycolor needs to show growth for 2024 compared to 2023. And each quarter builds to that. Their Q3 underdelivered, and because of that they need their biggest Q4 of all time to have growth for this year, and that is pretty much impossible.

How bad is gonna be? May be really bad, but is also very possible to not be as bad as some anticipate. NijiEN is going to have bad results, there is no discussion. But Anycolor could hide most of that, by doing what Cover does, and combine the revenue from NjijiEN with NijiJP, and have the growth in JP cover some of the impact of EN. It would still drive down their overall, but maybe not that much. Their stock will dip anyway, but maybe not to disastrous levels. It will likely fall below 2000 yen, maybe to 1900-1800, worst-case scenario. Personally, I don't think it would go down lower than 1950-1980, because most investors left are either long-term major investors or how who bought at 3000 and hope it will bound back there at some point and will hold the bag. Things should get better from Q1 thou.

Other than that, let's hope Cover will make the best of it's next surge now, because once Niji's report will be out, Cover will dip down too.

P.S.: NijiEN won't collapse, nor is Nijisanji. Anycolor had it worse before, in 2022 when it from +6200 all the way down to 2100. This is mid compared.

Concerts like the one in Singapore are basically elaborate sponsorships from the perspective of Anycolor. They aren't hosting or organizing those events themselves. They are just supplying the livers and the right to use the IP. If you are familiar with them at all you can see the difference is night and day between what they do for each type of concert. If they do something like AR Live their own concert they do a big announcement, do a press release about it, setup a website on their website for the event, make a merch range for the event they will sell through their stores, tweet about the event all day while its going on and shill the tickets before and after. For an event like the one in Singapore there is no press release, no official nijisanji website for it, no Anycolor merch range. You get some tweets from the livers that are part of the concert promoting it and thats about it from them because they are only doing the deliverables they got paid to do. They don't make or sell merch for the events that are elaborate sponsorships either the organizers do that as part of the deal and get the money from that aswell as ticket sales.
