Yeah. I hear that. I used to watch a talkshow about hot sauce, and hot wings, and while the host was great the show was dramatically different from guest to guest.
For me it's VODs. You can pause VODs, but I understand to support it's best to watch live.
Twitch subs keep twitch running, and support the streamer so really you're doing great stuff.

If YouTubes already has your information there's no sense selling it to kick. I've watched kick. Still plenty of failures there. My advice if you want a single viewer is make a youtube, and partner with other YouTuber channels you can raid back n forth with.
Then visit your closest bar, and offer them a partnership where you stream games for their bar to watch, and in exchange you get exposure. Truly not ideal, but you'll have a viewer.
Alternatively you could seek out a wealthy patron to take specific assignments from, but I don't advise it.

Probably Nyanners because of how hard she fell off. I used to like her streams a lot during the era before she was a vtuber when people thought she was dead. Rarely used facecam, rarely had any drama, wasn't always collabing with some annoying bitch or her boyfriend. Just a girl playing games, it was great. Modern Nyanners makes me want to throw up.

Aren't these the same shit? When I hosted them yeah. Listening to other people's discord call isn't really fun though.

Live. Another thing that I never understood was religious VOD watchers. I get that Rebel has a deeply rooted mental illness but I don't see how other people find it enjoyable. Most of the fun of live streams is the live part, that's why it's acceptable for streams to be so fucking long and have such long stretches where there's nothing going on. It's great to get to take a break while it's live but I know that it's really annoying to keep fast forwarding through all of that shit after the fact. The only time I ever watched VODs was to review my own streams that I had mentally timestamped.

I've donated, gifted subs, bought merch and personal gifts for a bunch of different vtubers. To date, I've probably put well over $1000 into the vtubing community but people will say I'm the worst thing to ever happen to it. It's funny honestly because I know the people saying that about are third world leechandys that have never spent a dime on their "oshi".

If you think nyanners is gross, and obscene you should avoid chaturbate vtubers.
Food entertainment can include a conversation, but at the end of the day a proper food entertainment video, or live stream is about selling you something. Often a recipe, but sometimes a ingredient, or a gadget.
Talkshows aren't for everyone I suppose. Though you may change your mind at some point in life if you find a conversation you really want to track.
For me VODs are the best way to enjoy. Often these are restricted to subscriber only, but vtubers spoil their fans, and I don't intend to let their gifts go to waste. One day you too might see the beauty of a good VOD left to your disposal. Then see it again, and again, then again some more.
Perhaps in the western world, and in public.
I have a suspicion niche creators may have received most generous donations in private, and beyond public reach. That said supporting the craft openly can be a great thing for those who like to track the happenings in the world, and better understand vtubing culture.

I barely got to see the nyanners live streams back then due to poorly developed apps, but it was something special to see the shilk worm girl act cordial, and decent. An event not unlike what's currently being described as the feminization of Mori Calliope, and Kronii.
I'm sure you've seen a cooking stream if meat is your favorite vtuber. She loves QVC. Half that channel is cooking streams.
Just chatting is often a zachubon with chatters while a talkshow is often a topic, or personality focused dive, or deep dive.
The best part of VODs is you decide when you want a piece of your oshi near you, and when you want to distance yourself from that snippet of her life. Watching also feels guilt free to an extent since twitch, and youtube have horrible tracking your oshi has plausable deniability to believe nobody is repeatedly on loop listening to her mispronounce H as Haich, or other silly moments, farting, stumble, slip of the tongue, shouting in the background ect.
The best part is you get to know someone. Without ever bothering them.
If you really want the credit you deserve start a charity that supports struggling vtubers in finding good internet. Actors do that stuff all the time.
Really though you know what you've done, and how much you've struggled so that people could enjoy vtubers if only for a brief time. You don't have to prove to anyone anything. If nobody will love you for you at least you'll always love you, and maybe that self love will be enough to keep the world from growing just a little less hard.

I watch Meat whenever I catch her on, not a super fan but still a fan. It's mostly in the middle of the night like around now when I'd be looking for some shit to watch. If I see that she's doing something I don't want to watch like cooking, VR or collabs with annoying people, I just don't click it.

I don't need to be praised or given credit for what I've done for people. I was just answering the question. I have always just found it funny when people project their poorness and/or refusal to spend any money on people that have provided them years of entertainment at this point.
