Well, here's a simple answer: a break plus unnecessary involvement with Kenji drama plus trying to shoehorn herself in OTHER people's situation (tweet replies to Mata, Doki, etc). People who will support such behavior are her diehard fans and noody else (maybe fans of drama in general but you DON'T WANT a fanbase like that).
The world is a shitty place and 90% of people who are into vtubers just want to relax and have a good time, not risk stress not knowing when she's going to go on another WOE IS ME spree.

She REALLY just needs to move past what happened to her, focus on creating good content like Doki, and many vtubers will naturally warm up to her over time. Every time she rehashes the drama, mentions how depressed she is all the time, and expresses her bitterness over the ex-Nijis avoiding her, it makes both viewers and other vtubers wary of giving her a chance.

As much as I like Sayu, it’s become rather frustrating seeing her beat the dead horse of Nijisanji after issuing countless “definitive statements” this year. Things aren’t perfect but they aren’t as bad for her as she makes it seem, she managed to collab with Silvervale in Twitch rivals, she managed to do an ad for Genshin, she managed to have Atlus send her a P3R swag box, she hit 100k on YouTube, and she made countless friends that stuck by her, whether it be Rennie or some Phase hags, one of which is more popular than most Niji girls now.
But Sayu doesn’t seem to see it that way, she just has some self-destructive bit of nature in her that loves to sabotage her momentum. I understand that her situation was more traumatic and isolating, yes, and people handle these things differently, but she needs to seek psychiatric help offline, because an intervention is needed. She needs to stop obsessing over ex Nijis not wanting to collab with her even if retards in the chat bring it up, it is what it is and her recent actions won’t make them collab with her more. She also needs to keep quiet and not start unnecessary drama on Twitter, and she needs to move on from the past as painful as it is to heal. “Spilling the tea” on behind the scenes events will actually make her a pariah, because then people will be weary on whether one wrong impression will result in her having a brainworm breakdown on stream and her saying everything about you.

I honestly think this all comes down to one very simple fact: post-Doki she doesn't understand why she is still ostracized by the Vtubing scene at large when everyone seems to now agree Nijisanji treats its talents poorly.

She feels as if there is a cognitive dissonance where everyone now embraces this idea of Nijisanji as evil, and thus talents who had poor relations to it as victims, but she is still completely shunned by the vast majority of all major English Vtubers.

'Social Pariah' I think is probably too strong. Someone who all of Phase, all of Idol, Silvervale, Yuzu, Bao, Saruei and Kson are happy interacting and collabing with certainly isn't a 'social pariah' but, yeah, she is still considered a persona non grata by the heavyweights of EN VShojo and the biggest EN Indies. That's why I said I think she just, quite literally, can't grow anymore. She has no more audience synergy to achieve by overlapping with other Vtubers and their fandoms.
