It probably doesn't help that this is the entertainment industry, and that means a severe lack of good mentors, and most competitors are caustic, having crazy fans to balance your attitude with, crazy antis who try to take you down constantly, an altogether toxic stew for someone who wants to rise but acutely feels and internalizes barbs thrown her way. A lot of the variety content is already prepped for her by her managers at Cover, it's up to Rissa to show more of herself on stream, however she chooses to. Like >>75526603 says, most of Rissa's stream content is game or talk about her day for 2 hours, and sometimes it just feels like she's fulfilling a quota. By and large I don't think most of the other holos are much different from Rissa in terms of stream content, but pretty much all of them took the time to build a rapport with their fanbases before settling into whatever habits or direction they want/feel like doing.

If nothing else, her problems and her strengths definitely make me reflect on my own failings and how I can improve. I admire her for that.

The other half of it is knowing and acknowledging where she is and her own accomplishments. In the sea of aspirants, she rose out of murky waters straight to the heaven's (of a sort).

Lots of game and anime VAs have taken to streaming both western and Eastern (Rin and Medusa of Fate Stay Night's VAs pretty regularly stream) and don't have nearly the same audience. Asakawa Yu literally just streams every morning my time like clockwork. Rissa has as many fans as some actors she respects and gets to gel with them. I think the huge issue is really being able to get her to hold her head up high.

It's true to an extent. I feel like someone in Holo EN could boot up a stream and just go afk with their model on the stream to 2k people minimum. It's what Holos do beyond the bare minimum and how they treat their fans that separate them from the others. 2k is still a lot of people but compared to pretty much every other Holo EN stream it's very poor. Perhaps she saw how she was doing through the lens of an indie or even the Nijis or her twitch friends and thought it was amazing so why work harder. And it is amazing, but it was pretty much the minimum amount you get just by being in Hololive.

The audiences of the people she's building bridges with are so different from the Hololive audience that they may watch the collab and nothing else. Having to tend to a schedule of some kind and yap and play something you may not be in the mood for is a bit of a drain on most people. Even indies who are doing quite well or rapidly growing, who make their own schedules without input from managers or company urges, outright tweet/say they aren't really all there or in the mood for what's schedule, either giving advanced warning or cancelling or picking something else. Most people aren't so varied and play mainly one game for a long stretch. Then throw in rapid chats taking your focus from the game and it's all the more so.
And I say that as someone who often enjoys VODs in a way that I don't live-streams because I can purely focus on footage instead of being tempted to type. Of course some people live for that kind of stuff (even to the point of ignoring the game a bit too much) and vtubing/corporations give many of them a chance to shine. But as long as she puts her mind towards trying to be positive and appreciate what she has, she'll improve at those things.
