Is a shota avatar a debuff? I know loli avatars can be a huge buff except for like some Twitter-adjacent spaces, but I imagine that male debuff also carries on to shotas.


I just find the model really cute and it seems to fit well with my voice/personality. But sometimes I worry if a lot of viewers in the indie space would stop watching because of the model being "too young" or whatever.

It does help a lot, thanks a ton Anon! Admittedly I only heard very little of Bungo Taiga but the idea of looking for others as example is great. Personally I adore Mashiro Meme and his menhera/horror gap moe.

I never really thought of what I wanted to do with the model specifically. I have been interested in trying out asmr stuff because it’s kinda what I used to do in the past that fits the mold of the the popular categories within Vtubing. What I would truly love is to do content focused on art/philosophy/history (similar to Miss Raden or Like Stories of Old) but needless to say such stuff is probably never going to be super popular lol. I'm debating that same choice. Since I focus on music and songwriting more than illustration, I worry that it's too difficult for viewers. If I start and stop the song constantly, it's not good background noise. And switching between to writing in silence like I usually do after a while means I don't really belong in the "Music" category, if there is very little Music between the minutes of keyboard clacking.

Yes, they want to create memorable and fun or entertaining experiences shared between chat and streamer, assuming they're aiming for an active chat and community.

Video editing, music creation and drawing are all acquired skills, so not everybody can do them, and some do not have the time to learn them either. Remember this is a hobby to some people, while others treat getting bigger as a goal or have a particular end goal which does not include any of the aforementioned things.
Some people try to make videos using clips, which is good-- a big part of the clipping process has been streamlined using web apps. I took a class which included Adobe Premiere and I like editing, so I make videos, sometimes I record myself singing, and sometimes I doodle, but not everybody can do this or afford to do this. You have to realize that.
