Yes thats why its a shit writing system. All east asian languages are garbage (except korean).
Generally speaking, the most advanced writing systems (and languages) come from the middle east and europe. In modern terms, european languages and arabic. The further away from the Mediterranean the worse your writing system (and language).
There are ancient mediterranean languages that are more advanced than japanese

>dude Hangul!
This shit is so predictable lmao, in almost every thread about japanese writing.
People like to whine about how the nips should have made something like hangul, probably cause they're too lazy to learn kanji, but nip phonology really is too simple for something like it or the latin alphabet and without the tone and context that you have irl which themselves are already a bit unreliable it gets impossible to differentiate shit that's spelled the same and pronounced the same. Kanji helps TREMENDOUSLY with that.
In fact, it's the main reason why technical documents and research papers in Korea are chock full of hanja, cause even Korean with it's vastly more expansive set of sounds as compared to nip, with 14 vowels and 10 consonants, begins having trouble because of all the chinese derived homonyms.
Hangul vs Kanji+Kana are like mirrors of each other where reading Hangul is piss easy but then you run into shit like 심심하다 or 방화 or 사흘 or 철두철미 or 힘들도 너무 좋고 which would be leagues easier to parse in written form if it had Hanja, and learning how to read Kanji is a monumental hurdle but reading nip becomes piss easy afterwards (except nanori, fuck that shit)

Thank you for asking!
Most writing systems start with pictographs, literal pictures representing the things, slowly they move onto the pictures being the words, the the pictures become more simplified into strokes (kanji is at this level, for reference the latest mediterranean writing system with this is in the BC), soon after the need to describe sounds themselves instead of things appears, and each of the letters becomes representative of a syllable sound (hiragana and katakana here, technically old semitic languages are at this level), then languages naturally seperate the consonants and the vowels and thats how you get the latin lettering and the arabic script. Latin lettering being the older one, and arabic only advancing to this level in the 1000s (they used to mention consonants only).
This is only as writing system.

Now lets get to another factor, pronouns, prefixes, suffixes and word reconstruction. English is a bit weird here because its a mix of languages, but arabic, french, italian are all good at this. Basically by saying one verb, you are able to construct a hundred forms each referring to the verb in a different way, like how construct, constructor, construction, reconstruct, deconstruct, constructive, etc.
Japanese has very few of these, meaning less clear information is created.

I hope this helped, ofcourse let us not forget the fact japanese has THREE fucking writing systems for one language and all of them are shit

the point is the entire narrative about progression from pictographs is only half true, since while yes, writing started out as pictographs, it didn't become a one way progression into phonographic systems since pictographs also developed into logographic systems like in china and sumer
look at the different paths egyptian hieroglyphs and cuneiform and phonecian alphabets took for an example too.
This reminds me exactly of the misconception about languages supposedly getting simpler over time like how you might observe that latin has way more cases than its descendant languages, but its more like they move between synthesis and analysis
anyway, I brought up the rikushou/六書 since even hanzi/kanji are diverse in their constructions as logograms. Forget the fact that people mistake individual kanji to be entire words, words written with chinese logograms can be Radical–radical or radical–phonetic compounds, or even derivative cognates

English and all languages that use the Latin alphabet use 2 "writing systems"...
>English is a bit weird here because its a mix of languages
Every single language is a "mix of languages".
>Now lets get to another factor, pronouns, prefixes, suffixes
Japanese has a lot of pronouns, prefixes and suffixes. They're not used in the same way as they would be in English, because the entire language has a different structure that would make them redundant for their purpose in other languages.
>word reconstruction
That literally doesn't mean anything. I'm not sure what you're trying to say here.

Your entire rant makes no sense and you clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The first part doesn't even make sense. You compare a Germanic language to two Romantic language and Arabic (which I'm pretty sure you have absolutely no clue about), please stop making a full of yourself. Japanese is a Japonic language and almost completely isolated. It uses Sinograms (also known as Kanji/Hanzi) as a writing system in addition to its own phonetic alphabets. It's not directly related to Chinese or Korean. It uses Chinese characters as a way to differentiate homographs (words with the same spelling and different meaning) and to space sentences. Korean is also in its own family called Koreanic languages. Until fairly recently (the mid to late 20th century), Korean was still using Chinese characters (Hanja) commonly. Hanja are still sometime used for abbreviations and stylistic choices.
>>75372697
Some words are written the same way but pronounced differently. There are quite a few example in English too. "Live action" and "I live nearby" for example.

And now I feel frustrated that I have not been interested in learning it since I was at least a teenager, I guess several HoloEN EOP must have the same feeling or story to mine but for them it is worse since it's part of their job, I'm still not sure if asking to know Japanese in auditions should be a requirement or not.
