Parasocial schizo shitposts disregarded, I don't really like collabs because they're restrictive. It's like having a guest over, but instead of having them in my house I have them on my stream in front of an audience. I can't really just do what I would regularly do in my home as freely as I could if I didn't have that guest over and I'm not sure if my usual flatmates (viewers) are thrilled to have them over or not. I think I stream a lot longer than most of my collab mates in the past do too so I always worry that I'm not being conscientious about their time or rushing things in an attempt to accommodate the difference in stream stamina.

Collabs are also just weird because I'm not really interested in just doing "whatever you would have done but now there's two of you" collabs. It always seems to me that collabs are more interesting when it is necessary to have multiple people involved rather than just adding them for the sake of adding them.

I need, even if barely, some whimpering. The respiration in the mic was top tier. Anon, viewers come and go. I don't watch the same streams as much or as often as I did two years ago. I don't keep up on the same youtube channels as much or as religiously as I did two years ago. Many of those channels are still going strong or growing because they appeal to new eyes and make new content. You're burning out and letting numbers eat you as they entropy because you're not doing anything to bring in new people to see you and enjoy your content. I don't think these points are actually at odds though. Obviously whatever content you're making should be something that engages you and that you are interested in making. However, content is a venn diagram. Not everything that is fun for you is good on stream and not everything that viewers want to watch is something you like to do. Unless your viewers explicitly told you or it is very obvious why they stopped watching you, I don't think you're going to have the information to do more than make an educated guess. Viewers come and go for a million reasons and not all of them are because they hate you and not all of them are because they don't like the content you make. People get busy. People find things they like more or things that are more new and shiny. If you changed your content before your older followers left, consider if that change was something you want to keep. If you have not changed your content in a long time, consider if your content has maybe gotten stale.
