most of the hate from older fans comes from how easy it is I think. being able to just send one paired up unit into the middle of the map and hitting end turn a bunch of times until the stage is cleared, it's not great compared to the rest of the series. though even as an old time fan I still thought it had it's charm points (and those are what help save the series)
