Sitll seems very stupid to me that they release the update so late on the weekend and the start of the week for the Japanese.
Would have been better to release on Friday worldwide instead so people have actual time to play and plan around it.

What is even weirder is that they offically announced Ina and the release date of Next Fes at Evo Japan, so the devs do want to appeal to the Japanese playerbase and fans of Hololive. So last weekend at the very start of Golden Week would have been a golden time to release the version update. This decision just fucks them over especially after the week off, it is extremely baffling

For an indie game, a fighting game no less which is the most complciated of games to make, this has been more on the competent side imho. Within a year they:
>Released all three DLC characters as promised.
>5 new assists
>New stages
>New mechanics for Virtual Frontier and for the fighting system itself.
>New character palettes.
>New unlocks
>New boss fights.
When you look at it like this, it is actually fairly impressive they managed to stick with it to this degree for this long for no pay at all, unless Holo Indie is paying them something for their efforts which I can't be sure of.

content is good yeah but I mean more like, on the balancing side. Mechanics and such. Yeah its cool we got all this stuff but the game seemed pretty stagnant from a gameplay perspective in opinion. I like all the shit they added since I dropped suisei for ollie. I just cant shake the feeling we were basically beta testing it like how bamco or capcom would release an arcade version of the game before the home release. I do still hope we get more content for at least 1 more year though, at least to the point where every gen is represented at least

Something I've also noticed about Sora is that she seems less reliant on meter than most of the cast. I can think of at least one instance of everyone using a Heavy special or SC cancel in their BnB (EX DP for Ayame, Coco Fire Breath loops) but Sora seems to mostly use her meters for outside of combos for pressure (A-Chan call, assists) or the odd Rakka-Chan into note. Once she hits you with pic related the party has started and she has no shortage of options to keep you juggled. Even the Universal Overhead gets to have fun. I feel like Sora has an easier time keeping the tank full for tandem stuff Super into Roboco missile like that clip or madness like Double Super like that one JP Sora did during EVO Japan.

Anyways yeah sora doesn't seem to rely too much on meter as she does just relying on her set play which is probably the plan in the first place? Though the one sora went incredibly ham on the pekora before getting knocked out. The one who got 2nd place was a lot more about zoning as opposed to that one
