In case Towabaker is lurking around: I tried out the fallen angel Kanata for a bit. The quality is great, I think the only thing which you probably noticed as well is that some of the archaic speech still tried to slip through even after you adjusted it to modernize the speech. I only tried it in one chat though, so can't say for sure if it's a consistent thing or not. I'm not sure if you have more work to do on it, but if you do then it's 100% on the right track.

Yes I'm here, and yes I noticed that too. I don't think I can force a more modern speaking style all the time without making the card significantly longer, since LLMs probably have an association between 'angels' and 'fancy speech' and that's not going anywhere even if I put a bunch of references to casual modern speech in. I've made a few more adjustments and added the womb tattoo (when aroused) bit, will tweak a few more things and release a final version via rentry later in the week. And, as always, consider my cards a starting point for your own edits - if you want to put 10 repetitions of the sentence 'Kanata always speaks like a modern japanese girl' in the card and it ends up working I respect it

If they're too lazy they still get to have the default experience, every card I put on my rentry besides meme requests is one I'd be willing to RP with myself (90% of my tavern use is my own cards and lamybaker's account for 9% of the remaning 10% lol). I just think there's a lot to be said for adjusting things to fit your tastes since I can't cater to everyone individually.

Yeah, I figured it'll just be a matter of steering her in a direction within the chat to make her speak more casually. Didn't want to make it sound like I wanted you to restructure the description or anything though, since it seems to be a huge pain to work on speech patterns in my own experience trying to bake. Anons who are worried about the future of proxies shouldn't worry - Midnight miqu is amazing at keeping track of multiple characters while also maintaining their personalities instead of reducing them to generic sluts. For sheer writing ability I genuinely prefer it over Opus even if it can be a little stilted at times comparatively and might require minor editing. Here's an example from the Kuro/Shiro card

I test my cards with multiple models as I bake to make sure they work with a variety of backends, also call me crazy but I don't think opus has a clear advantage on this response - I kind of like the way 8x22 stalls at the door whereas in 2/3 of the opus outputs she just barges in (I still think opus is the overall better model but it's not so clear-cut here as usual) but maybe I'm just crazy

Chary seems to be the most stable proxy after now that Desu is dead (R.I.P Antigooner, thanks for many months of free Claude), but it doesn't have Opus yet, only Sonnet.
You need to go into the dicksword to get a key, but they'll literally just give you one if you pop in and ask, it's just an anti-spite measure and the proxy is still meant to be public.

It would probably make more sense if it wasn't for the absolute fucking state of models. You'd probably see more people making their own bots and personalities if it was something far more sophisticated like real life bots, but most of us will already be dead by the time that actually becomes a thing. The closest you can get to bonding in regards of "creation and evolution" right now is lorebooks, never the same as it was back then before CAI got ultra-cucked.

Not really; it's just a janky piece of shit at the moment, but it does the job. Takes a minute to get the feel of it, though, so don't expect your first lorebook to be perfect.

afaik it doesn't really make it have any bigger strokes than it could have already. Lorebooks use "keywords" to function, for example, you make a lorebook saying "x thing happened" and hook the keyword "beans" to it. That means as soon as the model sees you typed the keyword in your reply, it will tell the bot to remember the event and the next reply from it will use the context of the lorebook. Probably making it sound more complicated than it actually is, but that's about the gist of it. Much better if you do some trial and error, it doesn't really affect your stuff in any way, and you can deactivate lorebooks pretty easily as well.
