This is why I tell people you have to turn your viewer counters off. Talk to viewers as they arrive and otherwise just carry on as if you were just recording a video for youtube or something. If you hyperfocus every individual viewer you both risk overwhelming that viewer and also risk a lot of menhera in the moment when you start desperately contorting the stream to court that specific viewer into sticking around to talk to you more instead of making a good program that will attract more viewers. By all means, talk to your viewers, engage when they engage, entertain them individually, but remember that the goal isn't to entertain a number of individuals, but to entertain an audience. That means an audience that is either real or imagined.

Also, I find that its typically better to incorporate chat into your responses to them rather than to just recite every word in the chat box like a parrot.
ex. "Hi streamer do you like cats?"
Bad - "'Hi streamer do you like cats?' Hm, I guess I like cats."
Also Bad - "I like cats."
Good - "Do I like cats? Yeah, I do and [tangent]."

Short-term goals are
1. Try to run my next tabletop game without any last minute rush
2. Release an edited video on Tenra Bansho Zero in May
3. Fulfil my follower goal streams as soon as I can

Long-term goals would be gaining some prominence in the VTuber tabletop sphere by getting out a couple of high-effort Youtube videos regarding some tabletop systems. Right now I think that's a mostly unfulfilled niche, especially for the systems that I personally have alot of experience in, so if I can I'll do that. Grow a healthy fanbase, attend cons, build up stream stamina, reach outside the /asp/ bubble, reach outside the 4chan bubble, become partner, become partner+, appear in as many collaborative projects as possible, extend my personal creative endeavors in with streaming, receive my first fan animation , advertise myself more, release a song cover, have a personal theme song, have a cooking stream, have my first multistream, receive a silver playbutton, gold playbutton, diamond play button, become a household vtubing/streamer name, gamersupps/gfuel sponsorship, my own nenderoid, dakimakura, physical merch, featuring in an indie game in some way, and probably many more things that I can't think of right now or haven't crossed my mind yet.

The first 3 seem a bit more complex than the wolf guy since he only seems to have very basic eye and mouth shapes. His head turns and doesn't look awkward, which is quite important so it is passable if you're on a budget. The other 3 seem far more complex with different mouth and brow shapes, as well as reactive eyes, although I did notice that the twitter model doesn't actually show the side of the head closer to the camera when turning to one side. Might need a closer look at that if your vtuber has shorter hair to be sure it doesn't look to awkward. Ghost is good but very standard. Nothing worth bragging about. That adoptable might also actually be a really great deal if you want to start immediately if it's not absurdly expensive, because it's quite expressive, moves nicely and is ready to go.

Thanks for the feedback. I have no idea what to look for in these things. Adoptable is $800 for a full body. I think it looks really good, but his price point is a little too high for me. Ghost is $500, which I'm told is the standard price for that level of work. Twitter is around $300, she's a close friend of my artist so the communicating between them would be a plus. Though I do worry that with her price being so low, the movements will be very basic.

I feel like there's this thing, in any kind of creative scene online but especially with vtubers, where the worst thing you can do is spin your wheels. you can't ever just want to do something, you always need a gameplan or a roadmap laid before you. That you should always be growing, if not a larger following then at least as a creator.

You can use Eklipse or something (if your streams are under 3 hours anyway). It's pretty hit and miss for quality but it does at least segment the stream a bit. Another thing I don't think I've heard anyone using is this button to add "go back and clip this" markers to stream without having to stop and do it during stream.

It basically lets you stream and when you connect your Twitch/YT/Kick, it'll randomly find interesting clips based on chat messages, views, and other analytics afterwards. For me, it dms me on Discord a few hours after stream and tells what clips it found. You can also make montages and weekly reviews and stuff. Fun stuff.

I've used it for a few months and it very rarely finds actually interesting clips. Most of the time it just carves out 10-15 minute sections of stream with very little in the way of actual theme or reason.
