As someone who catches everything except fwmc morning and weekend streams as vods them streaming stuff in jp time might be a bit better for me. I don't fully get japanese but I can lean on the context, and hearing your oshi laugh and have fun is always good. Reminds me of going back to watching 2019 hololive. I also like the fwmc codeword/spell for vod watchers. People might think it's creepy, like they're keeping track on who watches the vods, but it feels like a nice intimate thing for vod watchers.

Yeah pretty much. Unfortunately they've ALWAYS treated JP streams as if they "aren't real streams." Even if quite a few ruffians can speak JP, they still act as if none of them will be there.
They treat JP streams like tourist traps, in a sense. Bring in JPs who will eventually become ruffians. It never really works. At most, they end up with a couple JPs who stick around, but the vast majority sub and leave.

Reading some of the more negative comments, I don't think there's anything wrong with them, but I'm still personally not a fan of giving this kind of feedback. Not even because of making them sad or whatever, they're strong enough to handle feeling sad. What really stings to me is when I imagine them listening to that feedback. The only way I want them to give up on this and go back is if they don't get jackshit from appealing to JOPs and regret wasting their time, then I'll gladly go back to how it was, because when the full EN schedule comes out, they'll be thinking that this is what they should always have done, not wishing it wasn't like this.
Just my perspective, since I keep seing people calling those who aren't giving negative thoughts cowards or whatever. I want them to pursue their dreams, always. If I feel like I'm no longer welcome on this journey, then I'll leave, but I'll hope they keep going.

Sorry but I'm intensely disappointed, I honestly couldn't even figure out what the planning was here, seemed like it was all buildup to say you wanted to break into the JP market, which considering how many JP talents exist, and that you also say barely know you seems like a idea that you didn't exactly think through, why are you set on alienating your current fans for a market that doesn't know you? I honestly don't even really know what to say about all this. The one things that's extremely clear is that they need to communicate better because they have essentially created their own rrat and left it to fester till after golden week. Besides that I feel they are at this very convoluted crossroads where they need to reevaluate their goals, dreams, ect. They've reached a level of success that one can honestly call "making it" and now are presented with a ton of opportunities that before seemed out of reach. They have moved to Japan so they could go all in on the Japanese centric content they have always wanted to, they could legitimately start pushing the RM stuff again, ect. The problem is that all these things take time and effort and their role as a member of HoloEN will always be here requiring it's own unique commitment while featuring a different fanbase with its own needs.

I mean, it's pretty evident most of their members at the moment do. They're pretty aware of this as well. I doubt they'll EVER stop or wind down their JP streams. If anything, they'll do what they said and focus a bit more on them.
There's no real way for them to balance this in a satisfactory way. They want more JP fans/subs, and the JP fans won't watch them if they don't stream in Japanese more.
It's sad, and it sucks. They realize this but are going through with it anyway and even said they understand if we "leave or stop supporting them."
Ultimately the only choice now is to do your reps. I say this 100% unironically. They will never switch to HoloJP, but their content will be a bit more JP than it was before.
