I played through the whole thing and it took me about 2 ish hours. The game ended up being longer than I thought and the quality of the writing kind of varies between each act, but overall the story wasn't terrible. I played on normal mode and it was kind of ridiculously easy so if you actually want to use your brain during the fighting parts try hard maybe. The main thing that bothered me was the art style clash between pretty much every drawn element in the game. I get that they wanted to include as many fans as possible on the game but it was kinda jarring desu. For the anon who wanted to know what the koi's final form was imagine an eastern dragon with the same pattern as the koipanions but instead of the tiny arms its fish fins

It felt boring overall, yeah. By attempting to make things more "professional" they ended up cutting out on the players' creativity freedom to mess around. Not to mention the amount of animals and NPCs so close to the roads made people die the whole time, and because of how the maps was designed they always had to run a lot until their bodies which means they would probably die again anyway

I thought the bit was funny. It was a pretty small, casual collab the boys announced relatively suddenly, not a big formal event like a 3D debut. Attempting to figure out what's going on with the Ruzader's tails since the keratin bit has been throwing me off ever since I saw it. I'm guessing that the tails are some sort of gem/collagen composite with a keratin shell to absorb surface damage and prevent their tails from fracturing.
Many gemstones are the crystalline forms of ceramics, so I'm presuming that Ruzaders can somehow grind up gemstones in their stomach in order to incorporate them into their bodies. Bones are also ceramic/collagen composites, so Ruzaders could be utilising their gems for the ceramic portion instead of hydroxyapetite. Their skeletons could also be made of gems!
The ceramic base material also creates a pathway for their tails to function as axes. The actual blade portion may be some sort of keratin/gemstone composite, though I'm not sure if it'd be gemstone in a keratin matrix or some sort of sandwich structure. The former is probably what Ruze had in mind, as I'm guessing the tail is essentially a MASSIVE horn based on a quick glance at their internal structures. (I feel silly not looking up horns until now, as the keratin shell and bony core is exactly what I theorized initially. Oops, reinventing the wheel.)
