I was going to do my report yesterday but there was no thread.
Instead I will put all three days together and just say I have been training my eyes instead to see patterns in my enemies:
I spent all training time watching replays. The idea is that I should train my eyes separately first without the distractions of the actual game
I will give a full report tomorrow of what I have been doing and the motivations behind it. but basically it is the same as art training: you need to train the eye and train the eye

Well yes and no. There is little point trying to become pro in street fighter when it is a legacy game and someone like Daigo has been playing since childhood non stop 6 hours a day 363 days a year (he only takes a break during new years and new year's eve) and isn't still the uncontested champion.
After reading about him, I am sure no one can beat him on a first to ten, even now, but even so lesser players have won EVO. Tokido learned this the hard way. This only shows that, as Daigo himself recognized, the tournament format is made so not the same people keep winning all the time, and even worse the games are also designed as such because they keep changing shit because having the same person win all the time is boring and bad for sales. This is why Menard did not even qualify to that one online tournament despite being second place in evo last year and has been bitching non stop about 50-50s in drive rush.

However being pro isnt about being the best, is about delivering results for your sponsors. Because of who I am, I rather be Daigo than Sonic Fox who I consider a fucking clown but get results because he optimizes his gaming on results and moves towards dead/ new games and when people who actually are good move in he scrams.
Rank is also bullshit for similar reasons: It is also not true strength and nowdays there are a bunch cheaters around.

As I said before, what I want is to fight anime girls and defeat them all on stream. This would involve studying them specifically and exploiting their weak points, and this is time that could be used to develop more generic strategies.
If I go pro (decided to focus on results), it would be on a non legacy game where people dont have the advantage of 3 decades and only for a year or so "doing a fox" until real good people move in, so probably I would try with 2xKO or dev anon game if he ever makes it

Juri anon report of the day

Today i did more play reviews, read a bit of daigos book and then went into the phase three tournament of the battlehub, which i won (participants: 3 , but I wanted the free tickets )

The mosti mportant part of the day was reading something daigo said in his book: he said everytime he loses he thinks very hardly about why he lost, so now from today on I will check replays every time I lose to find stuff to practice.
In a way the "only watching replays" training paid off by making it tolerable, even fun for me, to watch replays. I will report results on this.

Juri anon report: I have been training to fight against a friend's character but he didnt show up during all weekend until now and I am too tired to fight him.
I think the training is working however, I feel my character moves different from before, but I am still not very good at perceiving, this I know because sometimes people do the same tactics to me over and over and it takes a while until I try something different.
The only cure of course if training the eye and not the hand. I need to become a "noticer"

There’s not really one standard way. In any game where your reaction time is slower than the faster options, you have to do some predicting. Recognizing context is helpful. What would your opponent do in x circumstance if playing optimally? What have they done before? On your end you can flip the script by mixing up your actions so you don’t get predictable. There’s a section on the smash wiki about mind gaming that breaks down the generalities of it

Fuzzy’s spike is pretty hard to land but on the bright side she gets some nice distance and a true combo off her recovery. She will need fine tuning but she works on her own at the moment.

Looks like there's gonna be a friendlies in july from 9 - 11 and 16 - 18. We're the first gameon the 16th. It's gonna be at night time it seems or morning for sea people. Decided to book another game against /hfz/. We'll let them get the salty run back from last friendlies. Also this is the first time we'll be seeing the game in PES 16. It comes down to how quick and annoying/good they are. Certain projectiles, like fireballs, force your opponent to pick an option to avoid them and allow you to get in. Others, like laser spam, are so fast that you can not only use them to get in, you can use them as a combo tool. And others still are so spammable that you can effectively refuse to engage. Same applies to long hitboxes. It’s all contextual, though. And often it depends on what resources you can pull out right after the move you just did. The belmonts can cycle through three projectiles and make a wall, which is unengaging by design. Link can throw out a boomerang upward and then immediately cover the low option by using an arrow. On the other hand, sephiroth’s long-range pokes are very committal with few follow ups, and Mario’s fireball is ineffective for walling and so only works as a tool to force an option and get in.
I’ve tried to be careful about this kind of thing so far. Gura has long moves like ftilt, but you can’t get much off them besides positioning. And her projectile is chargeable, meaning it’s only really effective with prep time. In addition, it doesn’t close ground for you. It does make a wall in front of you, but you’re not going to be able to use it as a combo starter. It’s a “this is a big hitbox and you need to give it space” move.

Regarding Biboo I don’t know. I’ll have to decide how good her survivability should be later on. My notes don’t even have her with an up special yet.
