/fig/ is a thread for viewers to find, share, and discuss idol vtubers who play fighting games and (beat em ups), either from large companies, small ones, or indies, as well as to discuss fighting games about Hololive and other vtubers in general.

Added freestanding hurtboxes to the game, now you can smack around an object and trigger whatever callback it’s supposed to have, like shattering if it’s a target or going flying if it’s a ball

Bro I am convinced DK players are ACTUAL apes behind the controller. Every match, at every single % it’s just

It’s so tucking frustrating because you know EXACTLY what they’re going to do, and if you mess up even ONCE (which includes bad stick reads and dropped inputs), you get comboed for 50+ % because DI literally doesn’t even matter on either the throws or up air. Actually fucking braindead play on a braindead character designed by braindead devs. I’m fuming irl

And the worst part of it is that I STILL WON and yet I’m STILL pissed off. Actual worst designed character in the game, even worse than sheik

its been a while since I played any smash but I always remember that heavy players were cheeky dudes who tried to cheese you Like me trying to go for a suicide dorf on the last stock before they nerfed it to take your stock first because bower players ruined it for everyone

You’re definitely right about that (I remember the sm4sh days when playing a ganondorf meant I had to always be up by a stock to avoid that nonsense), but I think cargo throw really is just a poorly designed mechanic. If it scaled more with % it might be fine but it reliably confirms into up air or back air at any percent, even 200+. And up air is its own beast of low knockback and high hitstun. Awful. Don’t even get me started on grounded up special and its ridiculous intangible hitbox that goes above the stadium platforms. The one solace is that he doesn’t have armor or an oos option fast enough to beat out shine
