What sold me on the concept was experiencing the online high rank in tri. I was with a bunch of experienced hunters who knew exactly where the rathalos would spawn in and efficiently took it down with traps/barrel bombs/tail cuts and coordination. Made the game feel less like a series of long boss fights and more like I was actually hunting large game

Somewhat, it's very early game but she's also playing kinda poorly/passively
She spends long portions of time doing nothing/standing around, or watching the monsters fight each other (they do very little damage to each other outside of turf wars)
She nearly exclusively uses the spin move which one of the hammer's weakest moves, she's almost always not fully sharpened and hitting the monster in the body instead of the head meaning she's basically doing very little damage
But she's also using the starter bone weapons so her damage is capped pretty hard

Hunts take a long time when you're starting out because:
>You have no idea where the monster is
>You don't know how to fight it
>You're not doing enough damage
>You let the monster run away when it does

Took me an average of 50 minutes to hunt one monster when I was starting out with LBG, but monsters now die within 10-15 minutes by my hand alone when I finally got the hang out it.
You can also see the difference if you let an experienced friend join in, and despite the monster health bars scale with the amount of players, it's going to take less time than how a newbie would do it alone if you let them take charge.

Bosses have relatively easy movesets until you reach High Rank. She's technically still in the "tutorial" phase of the game.
What makes them hard is that they're pretty tanky if you don't upgrade your weapons. Like, imagine reaching the Gaping Dragon without leveling up or using upgraded weapons. That's how MH is when you're starting out.

That's kind of my problem with MonHun aesthetic in general. Hunters don't wear armor, you know. What armor helps against: arrows, swords, spears, to less extent blunt weapons. What armor doesn't help against: a multi-ton truck ramming you at high speed, any sort of breath attacks(fire cooks armored person alive, electricity on metal armor is self-explanatory, any liquid gets under armor). Then again similar thing goes for weapons. What weapons hunters use? Bows, guns, traps, spears at worst. What weapons hunters do NOT use? SWORDS. Special mention goes to that tiny buckler paired with short sword, I've never seen it on streams before and it made me laugh.

There's one artist I follow that draws what happens to Hunters that get realistically mauled by the monsters in the game.

That's kind of the unfortunate thing with big animals compared to magical swords and equally magical armor: the most basic attacks any animal does - ramming, stomping and chomping - are all armor-penetrating to a much higher degree. At least personally, I find it much easier to believe in "my magic shield deflected your magic sword" than in "my armor protected me from several tons stomping directly on me". Unless all hunters are secretly built like MGR:R Raiden.

You unfortunately can't make Wyverians but you can definitely make a character look like that.
I'm pretty sure I've seen that hairstyle in the character creator in both games.

To start off, MH World released first if you didn't know.
World has better areas and is a more complete game than Rise will ever be because the latter was designed with the Switch in mind. There's plenty of comparison videos to show how much of a next-gen game World was compared to Rise, which felt like a handheld title.
On the other hand, Rise has better traversal and movement options because of the dog and the Wirebug. It also has more memorable characters as a personal note.

I think both base games are equal in length, but Rise's expansion (Sunbreak) was definitely shorter than World's expansion (Iceborne).

In the Old World (ie. pre-MHW games), there once was a technologically sophisticated Ancient Civilization.
Amongst their inventions were complex weapons such as the Dragonator, Charge blade and Switch axe, but one stands out as being particularly nasty.

I never actually noticed it until people pointed it out, but I do believe that visual clarity IS important.
I often have a gripe when it comes to MariKa streams because of this, when the number placement is often blocked by their model.
Some members crop it out and place it somewhere else, some use a layout, and some just don't bother with it.

Having a layout is nice, but if Mori wants to put her big fat milkers and take up a majority of screen, I wouldn't mind it as well. Besides, Biboo has the advantage of having a smaller model either way.

OK, so here's the issue with Sony perms as far as I can tell. On their JP website Sony gives permission to stream games and upload videos only using the built-in PS4/PS5 sharing function, which lets you have a facecam but won't work with OBS or a vtuber model.
This Niji guy was able to stream Ghost of Tsushima, I guess under how Niji interprets permissions, by streaming his PS4 to youtube and capturing the youtube stream in OBS and applying a delay to his mic to sync it up with the stream

Aki been having loads of fun though and it put some new life into the channel so overall it's not been a terrible thing, I think the impact on Mori will be notably smaller since JP viewers won't stick around for solo RDR2 kino

This VCR RP stuff has been interesting to see unfold
I don't watch much of any twitch or flesh streamers but I've watched a ton of the GTA RP stuff that's gone on there on the English speaking side and the difference is striking
The western twitch streamers, largely, end up treating it with a healthy amount of seriousness and putting effort to crafting stories and arcs that made it surprisingly fun even for someone with no interest in their type usually
Whereas the Japanese side of the GTA RP, has some of that too yeah, but seems to act as not much more than an outlet for a lot of social repression and an excuse to be on your worst behavior more than anything
