Phase Connect's Pipkin Pippa (and eventually Panko) designed a parody VTuber company with AI-generated art. Males simply have to go way above and beyond to win anyone over. The threshold for "good enough" is just higher for men because it's so saturated. this is a great question, and one that has been argued for decades. What exactly is anime? Does the country of origin matter? Some people think so. I think most people familiar with anime have a feeling for what is or isn't.
In any case, that wasn't my point, my criticism was solely directed at this particular style in which the eyes are drawn way too big, bigger than in other styles (or by other artists, if you want to say it that way)
