Twitch had long established what the streaming 'meta' was like, whereas with Japan, NND is basically just limping along right when YouTube livestreaming started to take off in Japan right alongside vtubing-as-streaming started to pick up, and Twitch pretty much only existed in Japan for FPSfags and RTA-autism.
