I think that has kind of been her goal all along last her first year, to soft graduate, so that Cover can keep mooching her name and she still makes a ton of money for doing almost-nothing for several years. Cover gets to keep the ceremonial title of having the biggest ever vtuber by subs, the biggest ever EN vtuber and avoiding have to acknowledge her loss - which would probably send their stock and investors on a melty even though Gura in reality has been totally irrelevant for fucking years anyway. This, really. I think this is the part that's so frustrating. I've seen what Gura is doing many happen times on the JP side, but at least the ones that stop streaming keep talking to their fans on twitter. I think most people here have just never watched any of the JP members and so they have no frame of reference or experience. That's why they think Gura will come back one day.
But that never happens. They always stream less and less and then will come back for a few days, usually around a big event, and then go back to not streaming. Members like Ayame, Shion, Aqua, and Suisei - they hardly stream anymore and none of them care about their fans. And now Gura is just like them except worse because she doesn't even tweet.

The only time it's different is when it's something like Haachama, but it's pretty clear by now that what happened to Haachama isn't what's happening with Gura. Gura just promises things and then never does any of them.
