In my experience, Animagine can do /e/ really well, and even some stuff like tentacles, but it struggles with a lot of other stuff, and needs more coercion than Pony. That was 3.0 though, 3.1 seems much better already.
I've also played around with basic merges, though here it's like 90% Animagine, 10% Pony, as anything more Pony was either totally unusable, or just Pony with a different style, which didn't really work for me as I liked Anis character comprehension.
If DARE manages to actually do a proper merge where it gets the best of both worlds, that's amazing though. Really curious what you get in the end.

Just check the linked album and you will see how the merge interpolates them. Doing 3-way comparisons is difficult as I have to do 2, then the other 2, then combine the grids.
Styles have been transferred to the merge as well.

No you can't isolate specific elements like character traits, image composition or style, vibe is a good name because it transfers the general feel of the picture. It has its uses and you could probably have fun with it trying to make cool looking pics but I can't help but see it as a gimmick, kinda like "Midjourney at home".

It just pisses me off because in the months since they released Anime v3 they only implemented this shit, they haven't even implemented controlnet yet. So we're stuck with a model whose dataset is fast approaching one year old, no way to cope in sight, and they're working on 3 other models that they might need to release before Anime v4.

It's essentially like using an image as a part of your prompt, so the composition, colors, and style will all affect the final result. They just added a feature that lets you use multiple images for it. Messing with it right now, this is using 3 images for VT.
